*This replaced a smaller Keurig that I owned for 6 years **MyBest.Kitchen** I wanted the convenience of the water receptacle and while this unit is much larger than the previous one, I'm very happy with my purchase. The only downside to this larger model is having to move it from under the cabinets to place the pod and refill it. I was able to rectify this by purchasing glide mats for small appliances. Now, it's perfect!*
Thanks so much, so informative. I just got my Magnifica S this morning & was totally intimidated by it, but your video is excellent, so I will be enjoying my coffee without fear of wrecking my Magnifica S 😁. Thanks again.
Thanks mate for the info guide of how to use. I follow instructions to the letter on most things, this had me taking my time and doing steps over again. Then I found this page, thank you it's very straight forward.
I love how your video shows what this beautiful machine does and it a really great machine for making home expresso! I have no doubt if you're a promoter of Delonghi, you won the order from me ;)
You can press and hold the expresso button and then watch the coffee come out and then press once more for how much you want to come out next time 30ml is about right but can be set to your own preference ...So it's adjustable! nice video Thanks
Thank you very much for the clear information on this very valuable machine. I became the cappuccino maker for the family in this quarantine time :-) . I have this question please: I got red flashing light below the coffee intensity dial nub. Please any idea what must I do about it???
You should descale the machine, Delonghi even made an official video tutorial on how do descale the machine, besides that I also recommend replacing the water filter
Liked your vidio. I have a problem with my Magnifica S. I get no water or steam from the steam nozzle. I noticed this while attempting to descale the machine. Any thoughts?
What is the actual difference for the 4 buttons with cups on do? As far as I can figure out, they just control the volume of water that passes through, not the strength of the coffee or the number of shots.
If you refer to the user manual it comes with, there is a way to adjust the water temperature. On mine you turn it off, hold down the single espresso button, then select your temperature with one of the other buttoned (this is where you need to refer to the manual because I don’t remover right of which is hottest) and then confirm your selection by pressing the single long espresso button
is it normal that the coffee in maximum water heat, with the most fine grinding (level 1) with the maximum intensity is still a little bit watery (i can see through it) and in the coffee trash bin the coffee is in small pieces and sometime it is just the grinded coffee in a dry state?
Hello can you help me, site of the start up button there is a small termometer look a like and the lamp is blinking, no water is coming out, and after a while the red triangel warning light is on, ???
Hello, I just aquired this coffee maker, and I want to know how to use the grinded coffee? Can I preload the machine before starting it ? What quantity can a cup of grinded coffee give?
awesome video buddy, But i have a question, would u buy this one or would u buy the more expansive model, where the Milk froth is automatically produced ?? I am in two minds about this subject, on one side i dont need any effort and time, in the other hand i think the crema by selfmade is better, but is it worth the extra work and time ? Especially in the morning ? When u have limited time and so on.......... So if anybody have a advise a would be grateful.
Hi we’ve just purchased this machine. I notice when you use your machine the steam and temperature lights come on green whereas ours come on orange and dont turn green at all. I’m just wondering if it’s faulty in some way?
It is hard to tell on the video but it looks like you have it set between 3 and 4. I'm seriously considering buying this machine. Around 270 Euros is not a bad price imo.
Just bought one of these for my husband but nothing comes out of the spouts at the front no matter what we try, just out of the steamer part. Any suggestions?
I have the same machine as yours and I started with the same steps as yours but the problem is that the machine is still on eco mood and the start button is not working, do you know why?
My steamer is only producing water even though it is on the right setting. I have cleaned the steamer spout and don’t know what to do next. Please help Jennie
The printed manual is not always helpful - . The on-line manual (easily found if you search the machine name - ECAM 22 110b) is far clearer. eg: some adjustments are made by selecting particular buttons on the front panel 'with the machine turned on.' You turn the machine on and all you get is another coffee - you don't get the adjustment mode. What the book doesn't say is that if it is plugged in, it is 'ON'. Turning it on to coffee-ready takes it out of the control-panel mode. Also, my machine thinks it needs a de-coke every 3 weeks. This would use a lot of descaler. It doesn't in my area which has VERY soft water. You can use the machine with the red light on and ignore it or, as I do, go through the descale procedure but with plain water only. That puts the red light out. If you live in a HARD water area, you should use descaler but I personally doubt the frequency of every 3 weeks.
Very helpful review. Thank you. I found another RU-vid review of maybe an earlier model and nodded off it was so boring! Right, time to man up and spend my hard earned dosh.
@@CosmicPrawny just picked up the updated S Smart model direct from Delonghi, so far it's superb. Still trying to figure out the differences between Coffee and Long, and when is more appropriate to make them! loving making cappuccino's and latte's of course. The 'fancy collection' from Delonghi was a good buy as well, quality glasses for the machine that stay cool to the touch but keep the coffee really hot!
Hi gadkitman. We too have this coffee machine and enjoy the quality of the coffee it makes. Long live Magnifica S. However having challenges with coffee already ground. How do you use this part of the kit. We have lost the instruction manual. Can you help? Regards TJ.
Put in one spoon of pre ground coffee in the specified funnel on the top indicated by a coffee spoon label then turn front dial with the coffee bean symbols all the way to the left where you see the spoon off coffee symbol. Then press the short or the long coffee button options. Voila! Great coffee machine!
There is another red light that comes on to the left of the one that indicates when water runs low. What does this red light on the left indicate? There is a a diagram of a tray with a couple of dotted lines lying within it.
Hi, yesterday I bought one, I put the machine in "ECO" I wanted to turn it off but it stay at eco, how can I turn eco off. I did exactly as its discribed in the manual, but it didn't work. I will be thankfull if you tell me how.
What I dislike about this machine is how much water it spoils. Every time you turn it on it uses water to clean itself. It also happens when you turn it off. Therefore it cleans itself twice.. There is no need for it and you cannot disable this option
So, I don't own this, but I've been looking into this machine for a while. I think the steps roughly are 1. Keep setting the grinder finer and finer until the machine starts choking up, then go a step coarser edit: ! Only adjust the grinder while the machine is grinding, and do it slowly, so that you don't break it! 2. Turn the knob on the front as far to the right as it will without choking 3. Adjust how much water comes with your espresso to taste, weak? -> less water.
For anyone wondering, the perfect time for single espresso should be close to 20 seconds. Double espresso between 20-25 seconds. My settings are, grinder at 2. And aroma dial between 1 and 2 o clock. You'll have to make at least 2 until the machine is gets it just right
try different runs, adjust the grinder to finer. According to the manual it should take anywhere between 20-25 seconds for a full cup to fill in, which means your coffee is grinned well and in perfect texture
I dropped and broke my water container. I've bought a new one but am struggling to take off the handle of the old water container and replace it on the new one. Can anyone help?
it is not easy. the light keeps flashing and I have descaled it which took ages as I didnt understand what to do. the whole thing is a nightmare. Havent had a coffee made by the machine for several days as it wont work.
Provide a better explanation off the problem so you can be best advised of a solution. I.e which light flashes and how you specifically operated the machine to get this fault to occur.
