@@EdmundSampson-pd7vi Yes but John wanted it to look good and be an econobox at the same time.Since a lot of the car was lotus and everything else he should of went with the lotus engine instead of the volvo engine.

Delorean came out in 81.. the 3rd gen camaro was 1982-1992 .. so technically the 3rd Gen Maro kinda looked like a Delorean

It was a poorly built/designed car when new, a two seat "sports car" with a pathetic 130hp heavy engine in the rear like a vw bug, prone to overheat, etc. Without Back to the Future, it would be ignored like a Bradley GT or Saab. The gull wing doors are the only cool thing about it. It looked good in 1985. The Corvette looked great in 1985 and still does.
