I had heard there was a lot of upset people because they normally would get a free upgrade to comfort plus on transoceanic flights but when they parked the 330s and subbed in the 350s due to covid all the people who booked an economy ticket expecting free comfort upgrades didnt get anything because Delta will not upgrade people to premium for free since its considered more of a first class product

@@MTAviationPhotoFilm that would be pretty upsetting. I wonder why they didn’t install the 4 class layout one their first 13 A350s as the A350 could fit 4 classes easily.

I mean I dont see how anyone would really have the right to be upset though. They bought a basic class ticket and felt entitled to something you didnt pay for. My guess is Premium select was meant to be a replacement of comfort plus on long haul flights but it ended up being way nicer and then they realized they could charge a lot more for a prem select vs comfort plus seat and decided they could still do both so they made it a 4 class config when they redid the 767-400 and got it on the 330-900 and now have it on the new 359s. I could only guess at some point it will be installed on the first 13

@@MTAviationPhotoFilm Oh I thought you meant they paid for Comfort plus and they didn’t get it becuase their aircraft got swapped for the a359. Probably that’s why the decided to add comfort plus.

Notably in Economy, the seat layout on the a350 is 3/3/3, and the seat layout on the a330 is 2/4/2. So the A350 is wider, by exactly one seat. Seatback screens also look larger on the a350, unless you end up with an ex-Latam a350. Honestly, these look like a nice ride, and I hope to fly one whenever my family decides to go on an international trip again. It doesn’t seem super likely though, seeing as there are so many Delta a330s flying around.

Yes, every seat on the aircraft has its own monitor. Seats that do not have a seat back in front of it have monitors that fold out from under the armrest between the seat.

There is nothing referred to as basic economy in any of Delta's cabins. There is Delta One, First Class, Premium Select, Comfort Plus, & Main Cabin

Basic economy is a type of ticket booking. If you book a basic economy ticket you will be assigned a seat in the main cabin section. Hope this answers your question better.

They wanted people to pay for PS but the price difference is too large for economy-centric passengers and business, so C+ is back. That was one of my biggest complaint of the A350. I had Diamond status so i was able to get the nice exit seat in aft cabin and that's pretty much where I sat most of the times.

Please dont flirt with the flight attendants, they really do not enjoy it...
