Delta Air Lines unveil plane seat designed for wheelchair users

Delta Air Lines has unveiled a new accessible plane seat to accommodate power wheelchair users.
The seat prototype was introduced this week at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany.
It’s been created in partnership with UK company Air4All, and would enable passengers to be seated in their own power wheelchair throughout a flight.

Anyway the ark of the covenant the voice boy is flying under is while the me merc is sailing around the world 😭 well the voodoo doll this morning in side position got turned and invisible pooped out in the toilet and now connected to the Salmon shoot 2 loot situation with the queen of sheeba throne 😁 and you will also die kratos has been fulfilled and we know what the missing peg is in around the world song and the square for the pegs is also behind jesper hyde hunter song for Sun double jin situation 😂 Regards Pharoah

I don’t understand why so much is invested in making large first class bedrooms on airplanes but not enough on facilities for disabled passengers

This is a fantastic development - about time! It'll really open up the possibility of travel for more disabled people. Now we need accessible toilets on planes!

Secretary Buttigieg just announced a new rule for accessible toilets a couple of days ago! I’m so happy! I’d include a link but RU-vid will bury my reply if I do. But if you haven’t seen it yet, google it for the details! Progress!

Things I would change about this design...1 remove both arm rest, wheelchairs come with their own. 2 remove headrest, some wheelchairs come with their own. 3. Remove the seat altogether and look at the design on busses and trains. It's just an empty parking spot with tiedowns. When not in use by wheelchair users, you can store baby strollers or other additional luggage for an extra price to passengers. I know airlines just care about $. There's many uses to the space when not in use, smarten up, and be kinder humans.

You dont need it on all flights. I dont think you should remove them completely. Simply make them removable, just like the other pieces.

I'm a wheelchair user. The concept is nice and would be OK for a flight under 2 hours but I would not want to be trapped in my chair for longer than that. How do they expect us to sleep?

Does anyone know is this in place on Delta Airlines ? I should’ve done this a very very long time ago as my son is in electric wheelchair so difficult to travel as the only option is is to take him out of his wheelchair and put him in a normal chair which is not good for his spine, so I pray this is happening I will be content contacting them soon

Too bad most power wheelchairs won't fit in the removable seating area. I'm a ventilator and there's NO POSSIBLE WAY I could fit in this seating arrangement. Notify me again when airlines quit being cheap and actually give af!
