If this were the 1990s, I would agree with you. No airline has been great for 20 years. Delta may indeed be the least bad of the current airlines. All of the airlines should be completely ashamed at how they have treated their fellow human beings for 20 years. Ever shrinking seat pitch, less and less cushioning in seats, people unable to even move around any in their seat to prevent deep vein thrombosis, no food, frequent unpleasant demeanor, bathrooms 50% smaller when they were already tiny. No other business would ever dream of treating customers this poorly.

you had to be escorted by a Delta employee. it's in a restricted area of the airport which is not open to the public . It may have changed but that's the way it was when I worked for Delta.

you used to have to be we escorted by a Delta employee. it wasn't open to the public. I retired in 2008. that's the. way it was then because it's located in a restricted area of the airport.
