As a Chinese dude back in 1998 when i was playing with this game me like 10 years old at the net-bar.....gosh i'm nearly 40 now. those are my Unforgettable memories. even today, i have got the big ass hardware even with RTX4090 and VR's and shit, but i still cherish the memory of the old days,old times,and old everything........gosh i'm getting old............ and one more thing: what does the game look like in 2040 and 2050 ? plug-in and your mind jumps into a whole new world ? We will see..................

I loved this game. Whenever my older brother was at work during school holidays I would install this on his computer, hook up via TCP/IP, and my friend and I would play the shit out of this. Then at around 4pm it was time to uninstall, unlink the cable, and remove all trace of us being in his room. One day we heard his car returning from work early with its distinct missing muffler sound (Nissan Skyline). So on this day we abandoned the usual protocol and had not time to uninstall the game OR wait for the "It is now safe to turn off your computer" prompt. The icon remained on his desktop for a few days when he noticed....he just laughed. Memories.

Got Delta Force around 99/00, played it all the time. Had Delta Force 2 also. Dad bought them for me for Christmas or birthday. Remember the launch icon on our emachine desktop. 30 years old now. Remember it like it was yesterday. Thanks for the memories dad.

I remember playing this and playing capture the flag. When you would kill someone it would say your name killed enemy’s name. This guy’s name was “himself peeing” so if you kill him it would say, “Rabbit killed Himself peeing.”

This brings back fond memories. I had my very first pc all to myself in my room. Playing till late in the evenings. The lack of music. The endless walking around. When it felt too quiet I’d put on some “fitting” music myself. Vividly remember which ones. This game was so cool and realistic back then.

This was my first fps game. I still think it was ahead of it’s time. It all started with delta force. Years later, I would discover Socom us navy seals on ps2. That would become the new obsession. And from there I discovered Battlefield.. which has been my game of choice ever since and for the last decade or more.

I loved this game when I was kid, played it all the time, until one day, in the middle of playing it, my computer made a loud grinding noise and the game shut down and my computer froze. I opened the CD tray to find that somehow the disk was completely obliterated and turned to dust.

I remember playing this game continuously for 12 hours and burning my houses electrical system. It was all smoke outside the house but somehow my computer didn't shut off. It ended when my maternal Uncle came rushing in turning off the computer. Best memory I have ❤️

Used to play Delta Force over the internet in 1999 against other players. Team vs team etc. It was my first experience in Internet multiplayer. Before that it was LAN nights with friends playing Duke Nukem 3D and Quake. I remember Delta Force being the most realistic fps game I had ever played and having a lot of fun.

Played this on LAN with a friend 1 vs 1. We were both extreme campers and only used the sniper rifles. We played all night long and I remember the pure joy when I took a shot at some pixels 3000 miles away and it happened to be my friend 😀

Omg this was my game as a kid. I was one of the best players on that game up until Delta Force Black Hawk Down came around then I switched, and quit after that. I use to play for [CAW] Citizens At War 😂 I use to run around in the Scuba outfit and hide in the grass and knife people. Or just wreck everyone with my M4. This brought back so much memories, thank you.

I remember being blown away by how huge the worldspace was in this game. But when it came to sniping it was practically just sitting still and waiting for a pixel to move, then shoot said pixel. So, the voxel engine was both great and bad at the same time, but of course, one could argue that it was the graphical limitations that made it poor. Such low resolution back then, 1024*768 at maybe 60hz, and often times you'd run games in lower resolution just to get better performance.

Prior to release I had read loads of exciting articles in pcgamer (UK) and pczone. Written with effusive praise of the voxel engine, described as making polygons obsolete and bringing on the first generation of realistic graphics. By the time it was released we were pleasured with Half-Life and Rainbow-Six, with Rogue Spear later in the year blowing it out of the water graphics wise. Coming back to this video I wonder how much my perception was soured by being promised the world but playing a game of its time. Despite the huge scale it offered, like many open games the landscape was sparse. Its cool having massive battlefields but not if they are mostly empty.

Wow, i didn't even knew this game had multiplayer.. I was a kid at the time and i don't speak english correctly.. Well, my family didn't have internet anyway and it must probably have been very slow at the time but i confess that i found it really ineteresting, this game seems unique and maybe the only one with so realistic terrains, today games can't manage to outgrow this army+wild vibe contained on this game

I remember as a kid one particular level where you had a long walk to the objective and it was kind of on top of a mountain, and you could take a route that put you very far away but just in range with the .50 cal sniper rifle, and I would just sit there and try to set the long kill record. Had a little note pad where my dad and brother and I would write down our records.

Considering this is a 1998 game it had quite good weapon models. Much better when compared to Hidden and dangerous models for example. I remember playing this and it was so difficult as 10 years old.

Oh I played the delta force games so much. I loved them. Sure the graphics werent super even for that age, but no other game had maps that huge at that time. Some runs I went totally sneak mode, and it could take hours to finish one mission lol.

Remember playing this game with my uncle when I was 5 , never saw the ending though because my uncle deleted the game, but I grew up playing igi it was the Indian delta force for most of us I still remember one mission when we have to escort a dude with a jackhammer to a building. In a village

I love seeing all the comments about "at the time we thought it was so real" cause we really did. GTA3 graphics blew my hair back at the time. Did anyone ever also play the tank game, Recoil? This, Joint Strike Fighter, and Recoil were my first PC games, eventually followed my Command & Conquer

I used to spend hours on this game, low-crawling and sneaking. My only issue was that this game had no bullet drop. You can snipe with an M4 on semi insane distances and beat most missions the same way. Still great for its day and I enjoyed it.

I remember getting good on the multiplayer on 56k modem, then getting DSL and going from 15-20 kills up to 60-70 kills one time I got like 108 kills glitching atop a roof with m-40 on that capture the flag snow level Also glitching on the side of a hill on this non winter hilly ctf map Man I’d get home from school, smoke a bowl and play CTF while listening to some OutKast I downloaded off Napster for a good 2-3 years

I played this so much in internet also.. Something like 16k kills with sniper rifles.. I was playing with ISDN 128kb in US servers from Europe, and lag was real.. Maybe 500-2000ms ping, but still I rocked at it.
