I really hope this is the start of a golden era of modern FPS where we have 3 big giants, Delta force, CoD and Battlefield competing with eachother, improving each year. As they say, competition breeds excellence
Well, with Cod and Battlefield's state right now, I'd say that Delta Force will do well. The only thing Cod and BF have at this point is brand recognition.
You’ve got a point. It’s not a new, groundbreaking game that we’ve never seen before. What it really is is a game that takes various aspects of a bunch of other popular games out right now, combines it all, and does a great job doing. Which is refreshing for the gaming community to see. It’s something we haven’t seen in a while. A shooter that is well made, and not marketed for only one certain aspect/gameplay. There’s no reason why in this day and age we haven’t already gotten a game like this. Greedy corporations haven’t allowed it
@@Cavscout101 I think it would be hard for you to prove those greedy corporations didn’t “copy” from other games before them as well… (battle passes, battle Royales, etc.) It should be a natural and good thing for new games to improve on current ideas. But what ends up happening is companies land on something that works, and instead of refining it for the sake of gameplay and players, they just squeeze out as many profits as they can
@@MrTomahawk15 what I'm saying is everybody's complaining about the companies that spent the millions of dollars to create the games that this game is copying. That's all I'm saying.
@@Cavscout101last time I checked BF5 had "Omni movement" that was like 5-6 years ago? So why is B06 so heavy with marketing this "new" feature? Sounds like they steal as well 🤷🏽♂️
As a long time Battlefield fan, this looks really solid for a free game. I do wish they would have left out the hero op type characters and learned from the mistakes of BF2042, people prefer just straight up generic soldier characters honestly. The gunplay looks smooth and I like that they didn't get gimmicky with the guns too like he said.
@@rocky1942racoon they have their reason, one of which is that so it can run on this gen's low end rigs. Not to mention the game is being released on phones too. The Devs said they wanted to make the game playable ranges of devices as possible.
@@rocky1942racoon It feels "dated" because the man said in the first 10 seconds of the video he's playing at 1080p.... you want big time graphics? Go play 4K and if you have the PC for it... graphics are good if you push them to the max
On your Modern Military Shooter fatigue, I think the best cure for that is to have two shooters you play regularly enough that are drastically different. I'm going to use Destiny as an example, all be it a poor one, but that sort of big difference can really take the oversaturation effect away given enough time. I also find that the big thing with any shooter, sometimes beyond even basic game mechanics, is we have to care a LOT about being good or playing the game and it has to give you a certain "feeling of accomplishment" when you've done something. The faster and more over the top they got, the worse that became.
This isn't supposed to be new, it's supposed to set a new standard. It's everything battlefield and COD offers for free, rather than paying $80 for a buggy mess that isn't gonna be finished in a year when everyone stops playing
Lol things happened, think he got sick then slowed down and COD channels almost died out except for him, Nero, and a handful of others. Everyone had become more interested in the whole Rebirth trend.
The biggest thing, is that the hit registration feels great. I can't say the same for BF2042 lol. Also this game has lean! That's something I always wanted from BF
I’ve been watching your stuff since mw2 in depth! You’re still my favorite RU-vidr. Thank you for everything and wishing you the best in all your health stuff. :)❤
It's almost as if they took the best visual and gameplay mechanics/elements from "Modern Warfare 2019", as well as Battlefield(s) 3, 4, and 2042 (in it's current condition), then made this. Delta Force: Hawk Ops has MORE than peaked my interest! 👍🔥
This is looking really good. Battlefield is dying rapidly all because of their unpolished releases over and over again. All they have to do is release this in a playable state and it will be a success
Purchased the old big box delta force games back in the day . They were so good for their time. Loving the look of this game . Have not enjoyed battlefield since bf3 but this looks much more polished and more fun already
Until today I hadn’t seen any of your videos in literally years. Which is a shame because I used to watch you all the time back when you were still coming out with your MW3 in depth until around BO3. I just went back and found your if it were realistic Nuka Cola, which I loved back when I was like 13-14 years old and had just started Fallout 3. I hope you’re doing well for yourself watching your videos was like talking to an old friend for the first time in a long time. Thank you for all the support and memories throughout the years.
I was thinking this too. Realistically speaking, the best case scenario for this game is that it becomes full of stupid goofy paid skins, but still plays well. The worst, and still very likely, case is that it becomes a pay to win nightmare.
@@GLC48 You can't make a shooter like this P2W... I mean how? Give paid guns that are more OP? Nobody has ever done that and will never do it... they'll just add a fuckton of microtransactions for cosmetics which is fine with me since if people want to pay a fuckton of money to run around as some celebrity in a battlefield, be my guest... The game will be very good and popular because asians care about gameplay quality over bullshit western narratives and you can see it because every year out of the top 10 games made, around 7 of them are made in asia... the only genre that asians ruin with P2W is MMOs... Anyway... you're worrying more than you should be...
I’m looking forward to the games full release and seeing what maps will have naval combat. Back in BF4 my favorite DLC was Naval Strike. I really hope Delta force will have a decent amount of that since the recent battlefield games have lacked that.
Thank goodness for that bit about the projectile speeds. I have always hated sniping in Battlefield where you have to lead a target by a couple feet at least, when only firing from 100-200m with a .308 or .338 Lapua and sometimes that still wasn't enough lead. Like if I led a target at 100m by a couple feet in real life like that, I would never hit anything. Even a .223/5.56/7.62x39 would never lead like that. It has been absolute insanity in most other shooters for many years.
From what you said and what I saw watching the gameplay, this game does not half-bad at all, I never played Battlefield, but I wanted to try it out. I like how the movement animation looks completely identical to Call of Duty, but aside from that, the game does not look too bad. Hopefully it will last longer because I prefer chaos and that equals fun for me, the Operator abilities reminds of me a lot of my favorite Call of Duty, Black Ops 3 but I see why it looks to much for one to manage. The points system for scorestreak-like system actually makes sense and balanced. I’m on PS5, so I can’t play the Alpha, but whenever they release a Beta or the a full release on console, I’m looking forward to playing it.
Nice review, i agree to all. No hype, but chapeau to the developers to deliver such a stable package as an alpha. I was shocked that weapons were fun to play, reasonably balanced - something Dice never will manage....
The reason I’m picking this up is because it’s ’well-grounded’ and appears to have tactical immersion and has a ‘battfield’ feel to it. Although there is is ‘hero’ shooter thing going, hopefully they won’t use anime and Doja cat skins. Once that happens, I’m gone. But so far so good, thank you for the comprehensive review. You’ve swayed my decision as I was a little on the fence. Have a great day. 🇺🇸
the big slap is after playing it and loving it if they add operators like Mackay (with his Hook) and that one with the Wingsuit in BF2042 and here im worried abt,and btw the maps should be smaller for more actions like BF4 Maps
Im loving the new era of free to play multiplayer games. In my opinion it should be like this for all types of multiplayer games. Yearly support it with content. If we the consumers want to support them we can invest in season pass, items in the shop, etc. Paying 70$ every year for an “updated” / “new” version of a multiplayer is not it anymore.
This game gives me a perfect blend of insurgency and cod with battlefield elements fast paced but tactical and not goofy as much as cod I loved COD 2019 for that fact is had nice operators but this gun play looks great
Yoink? Should I integrate that into my fps vocabulary? Example; I just yoinked a care package off the dz. I like it. How about integrating it into my everyday vocabulary? My wife has a headache so I went to the bathroom and yoinked one off. Thanks Brad for the new word.
The thing that was clear to me was the graphical restraint. Thata what ultimately killed the last 2 BF games foe me. All the light bloom, sun in your face, extra particles, and other stuff to make it "realistic" just made it hard to ever see an enemy. In all the gameplay footage ive seen i can actually aee enemies. It makes me feel like i can actually jump in this as a casual gamer and have fun.
What’s crazy is that little detail about the actual name of the weapons. I should’ve known something was up when the mp5 became the lachman. Just terrible.
Jackfrags and him have the sam thumbnial editor im guessing lol jokes aside the game is free and by the looks plays really good for a new audience who are wanting a less hardcore tark experience and vetter loading times
I want a COD that runs right. Tired of paying only to have an update break it and then them never fix it. Since this will be free, I'm looking forward to trying it.
I played the Alpha Test. Here are my thoughts: 1. TTK is too high to the point that it feels like Overwatch or Destiny. Everyone is a bullet sponge and firefights kinda suck and feel unrealistic. 2. Voice lines suck and make it feel like 2042 all over again. 3. Announcer voice is lame and annoying. Sounds like the special kid from South Park, Nathan. 4. People spam the gadget that spots people, so there's no such thing as a surprise attack or actual cover in the game. 5. Doesn't feel like BF3 or BF4. 6. Not enough screams that make you feel like you're in a war like in BF1. Feels like 2042 all over again.
I would really like if they made the TTK a little quicker. Given its marketed as a more "tactical" game, you shouldn't have to mag dump someones head if your further than 20 ft away. But, thats just my opinion. For a free game its preety darn solid
Best sorce for fps news the last like 10 years. Thanks Driftor I also have been really enjoying the game on my ryzen 5 rtx 2070 pc Runs pretty good and fun af.
If you want to try something interesting, try crsed. 3rd person br with abilities and pretty crazy movement. Game is dead on PC but consoles have crossplay and still get full lobbies
My biggest apprehension is that the studio behind it appears to be a chinese subsidiary of Tencent-- considering that company's record of monetization, I don't really trust the game to not nickle and dime consumers as soon as possible.
Honestly, the Battlefield mode looks like it could easily takeover that untouched market, while the Extraction mode, looks like if Tarkov, Arena Breakout, and Badlanders had a threesome & that was the resulting child. Its so weird, its almost like a half & half game, both sides built by different devs, but meshed together in one title.
Fun fact: the names for the guns aren't even removed in COD due to copyright. They were just taking the "moral high road" by not listing the real names of the weapons that people spent their lives designing because something something guns are bad (unless they make you money in a video game). The weapons manufacturers don't charge people to use their name they just want credit for their work.
I would prefer someone just make a FPS that plays identical to CoD but with overall quicker handling and speed, and none of the nonsense politics they shoehorn in.
Not fan of hero characters. They should also give lady’s short hair because it be more accurate for helmets. Obviously this is bit of an ad so but curious 🧐 and if they ain’t neutering the semi autos like COD and BF do because they my jam. I hate that they restricted how fast you could tap it
Imo the pace of movement is near perfect in this game. It's not too slow, but it isn't bloated with movement tech that renders map geometry useless b/c everyone can just breakdance their way out of a bad situation.
@@Drift0r One of the operators you haven't unlocked, Vyron (Wang Yuhao) has Dynamic Propulsion. Which is similar to CoD AW's Exo movement but like most things in DFHO it's a rather mild and gimmicky ability. You can boost forward, dash left and right or even reverse thrust back into cover. Even more, you also dash while airborne. Also if you are wondering where is C4 Explosive, it's Vyron's Magnetic Bomb, it's both a C4 and a Semtex but you can't detonate it manually, it's timed.
