Hey Guys! I can't confirm 100% but it seems like the MP is running UE4 and the Campaign will run UE5. Feel free to comment under this if you find an official source stating this! It definitely does perform like a UE4 title haha Thanks for watching 🙂
@zWORMzGaming You can check this yourself, by going to the game's folder, hit the properties of the .exe, and in the details tab should appear the UE version
...and if fsr and dlss not working properly , lets call it a "next gen" game that your pc can't handle because its your fault that you don't own a 4080/90.
@@ThunderTheBlackShadowKitty Even if that were true in every case, DLSS and FSR frame generation gets around CPU bottlenecks so it could start to be depended on widely by developers instead of good CPU optimisation
@@matt-dw It IS true in every case, and NO you're wrong, frame generation DOES NOT get around CPU bottleneck. The only way to get around CPU bottleneck is to either optimize the game's code or buy a new CPU. It's that simple. It's ALWAYS better to be GPU bound, not CPU bound.
@@ElveruhMMD That's why it should be toggleable, not by force. I can understand if it was forced in single player titles, but definitely not in online multiplayer titles though. 🤷♀
@@Jakiyyyyy To have Lumen on a toggle would require pretty much double the work on lighting, as all the scenes and assets would need to be adapted and optimized for both baked lights and lumen, and most devs don't bother since it's easier to go with one or the other.
@@thebaffman4898 Lumen imo should only ever be used for games with a day and night cycle or really dynamic environmens, otherwise just use Lumen during development to preview the lighting and then bake it for maximum performance
The finals is decently optimized for a UE5 games. RTX global illumination looks good enough and doesn't tank performance like full on ray tracing. Although to be fair it's extremely CPU intensive (due to destructible environment) No game has made my CPU sweat like the finals.
This shows that UE5 is actually not a bad engine based on performance and optimization. I think if all the features of it are used extensively, then it becomes a much heavier engine and losses performance. Don't forget, Valorant is built on UE4.
@@LordAngelus Because they know that multiplayer and unoptimized game is a recipe for a disaster. All multiplayer games ideally trying to be optimized to avoid problems and make as much players as possible
@@zWORMzGaming You can check this yourself, by going to the game's folder, hit the properties of the .exe, and in the details tab should appear the UE version 4-24-2-0
It's pretty well optimized one of the few Unreal Engine 5 games that runs well and isn't a performance black hole. Seems like it isn't an engine problem but rather a prioritization issue where performance is the last thing that's done and doesn't have any time allocated to it.
Awesome video as always Kryzzp! This gives me a little hope for my recently custom built rig with the 4060, I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to play the newer titles but seems that I was overthinking it 😅. Also, shame that the youtube compression pooped al over the image, what can we do about it right😐.
Hey Kryzzp, if I see you in a match I'm saying hi, been following you for years. I got selected for the Alpha test and yes, I'm impressed by the optimization and even tho I play on a 4070 laptop, I'm virtually always above 100fps on High settings, dips here and there if things get chaotic but usually above a 100
I've been playing it and I loved its optimization. I play it with an i7 4790K, RX 470 4GB and 32GB DDR3 RAM @1600Mhz and I play it with all the graphics on medium and I have an average of almost 100 FPS, not bad there..
Hey, good stuff. I was wandering if you were able to also include American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 amongst your GPU benchmarking suite? I know a lot of people that play these games, and the two games are constantly rising in player count on steam. I think you should give them a try, and I'm sure people would love to see you benchmark them.
Signing up for the playtest now, i dont really think the combo of i7 3770 and rx 6400 is gonna be enough but if the minimum specs are anything to go by, it should be. Great video btw, been watching you for over a year (maybe even 2 or 3 ive lost track of time lol)
@@Jakiyyyyy i signed up for the level infinite pass thing when the game was originally announced, i think ill have an easier time getting it on that instead of steam tbh
@@Jakiyyyyy i wouldnt completely write off waiting for it, ive gotten access to betas before by just waiting a day, they usually open more spots every day
They just used an older version of UE4 for multiplayer. It's not really optimization. They just made a Battlefield game in Unreal Engine instead of Frostbite.
Finally a modern unreal engine game that relies on good programmed code and optimizations instead of upscaling and frame gen to achieve high performance
OWI/Squad can definitely learn a thing or two from Timi studio group when it comes to optimization. graphically looks better and runs at higher fps than Squad
It's definitely not a special game with a strong personnality. It's like some kind of BF2042 copycat. I just wish they would make copycat of the good Battlefields instead of 2042 😅
It's interesting that 1080p High averages 159 FPS but 4K High with DLSS Performance averages 98 FPS despite it being the same internal resolution. I never knew the DLSS upscaling algorithm alone could drop the FPS by 40% - is that consistent with other games?
Hi zwz pls help should i buy rtx3060 12gb or rtx 4060 8gb will the rtx 3060 run higher graphics but lower fps? or will the 4060 run higher graphics and higher fps than the 3060? does the vram make higher graphics stutter pls help im so lost between 12gb and 8gb 🥺
