I really don't understand why she has not more recognition out of her country. She is a great singer, great songwriter, talented and super beautiful !!!!!!!
A song about a real journey/story. And not about sex or a relationship or money or a “thing”. That alone gets her 10/10 from me. Then add on top the fact that she has true talent and skill and cares. Yeah 10000000000/10!
Delta's career started quite young, signing with Sony at age 15. She also did some acting in the Australian soap, 'Neighbours', boosting her popularity in Australia and the U.K. Her first couple of albums went multi platinum, but then in 2003, at age 18, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and spent the next year undergoing chemotherapy treatments to battle the cancer. She recovered and has continued producing albums and becoming a regular vocal coach on The Voice (Australia). She more recently had a trying experience when after complications from surgery, to remove a salivary gland, a nerve in her tongue was paralysed and she had to relearn how to talk again. Taking most of a year she is once again singing.
So appreciate your song, I'm so lucky to still be able to have a walk about. Broken my back and neck in six separate accidents. Each requiring surgery, and more metal and wires. The pain caused vocal cord and intestinal damage due to the med's. So instead of trying to live to 900, I've decided to try for 200. Life goes on, as we adapt and learn to overcome nerve damage. Your voice is again pitch perfect! And I have learned to walk without a much of a limp. I even have a new shoulder, and surgery and diet has fixed most of my ulcerated intestinal track, and laying off self medicating with Rum and Beer has helped the liver. If you met a man named Tom Manuel, Down Under, tell him his Utah drinking buddy is fairing life well!

It's beautiful She had a operation on her vocal chords and there was a complication It's a reflection on when she woke up one day and couldnt sing or talk it tools a year to get her voice back that's what the song is about and her journey learning how to speak and sing all over again
