Delta Striped Bass Fishing with Jerkbait (A New Hot Spot?!)

Found a new striper spot on the CA Delta that has been producing some nice stripers. Found the spot one trip, then went back out and caught another nice striper in the same spot. Hope you guys enjoy the video.

Super nice catches!! What size trebles do you replace the hooks with? Are those short shank hooks round bend or regular bend?

What size EWG ? Congratulations papa . This is the sacrifice we make when raising our babies . You will see more time as he gets older and then he will become your sidekick . I'm sure he will become a angler like his father .

I use a size 4 ewg treble hook. It’s also a 2x strong hook. I hope he fishes with me in the future. I can’t wait till he’s ready to go fishing.

When do you think the stripers will be in Sac River to spawn and start being very active?

I think very soon. The amount of water we got this winter should push them in by late February- mid March. I think the water needs to clear up a bit too before the fishing gets better.
