This is just amazing. I like how this relates to the Secret Bosses' topics of being forgotten items and wishing freedom. In this case, someone who desires to take revenge on Kris for forgetting about them. I really like it.
Makes so much sense for a camera to have the green soul, the green soul by itself is frozen in place, needing an external source of protection, and cameras can freeze things, even if only on pictures. Also, that's a great idea on how the shadow mantle would work, i assumed that it would make you immune to certain attacks, but that is much better.
I have to said this is one of the most legit OC deltarune bonus bosses I have seen. The problem I have with some OC is while good or interesting are trying too hard or look like there from a different game. This looks like Toby would make. My only slighty problem is that the music doesn’t sound as bombastic compare to jevil and spamton, but still, it is fitting
My personal view on the music is it's not as hyper as jevil or spamton since the boss isn't as insane (I might be horribly wrong about that) He's still insane, yeah. But he's not as hyper as jevil or as crazy as spamton
DAMN THIS IS ACTUALLY COOL, you know, some people make their fanmade bosses either too mary suieish, too strong, too "abnormal for deltarune" like as if theyre from idk final fantasy games ffs but this actually is so good, canon looking edit: despite me not understanding how a magician themed item is relatable to kris(since the fountain is in their home literally), but the fact that lumia wanta to cry due to some grudge on kris, and the old photos flying away, these two aspects actually work well with the theme of being connected to kris for a long time.
Oh my god,this is amazing! the green soul was used in such a cool way! The advantage of Toby launching the game in chapters is that the fans show all their creativity to create fangames and incredible expectations!
For one of the few fan made secret bosses that actually got a full fight, this is amazing. The green soul in this is used so creatively. It isn't just diagonal, you move too. But the way the attack ls work around the green soul are so cool. Also when I sae the camera flash was like undyne's eye. That was just the coolest
not bad using a disposable camera as a secret boss. fits very well with the tossed item theming. Lumia certainly gives off heavy Paper Mario vibes; an aesthetic that could use a bit more love in any game with zany shenanigans. excellent work implementing an upgrade to the shield gimmick with more than just diagonal directions; aka turning the soul explosive via Susie and adding a 1 hit shield via Ralsei. 2 gripes however. first is the length of silence between the end and beginning of the song. that can easily be trimmed to sound seemless. 2nd is the Discharge percentages. group discharge does 8%, but individual discharges do 3% each. if everyone does a single discharge, it adds to 9%, making the group discharge worthless. can be solved by making individual ones 2% instead fantastic efforts. goin in my top 5 fan super bosses for chapter 3 pre release (not that i posted a list anywhere (yet))

@@skullface456also each attack has what I would call a diamond attack. jevil's attack before the boisengirls attack, spamton with the heart attack lumia with his eye, mike from Mike's big showdown has one and my secret boss might fire a stream of them from his hand that follow the soul and you'd have to graze and wait to jump when a platform arrives. A theory I have is that each will have this attack relating to a part of their body. Jevil has a jack in the box head, and it does the diamond attack, spamton has a heart similar to mettaton neo and it shoots the same diamonds and my secret boss uses the hands for gravity flipping and the diamond attack and I think it could represent theming. Jevil thinks he can do anything. Spamton has a broken heart and relies on outside help to become truly free and not truly being so as he is desperate for help. My secret boss could bring his life into his own hands but chooses to hide the truth to keep himself safe.
What you did with the green soul mechanics is so unique, plus, I love all of the Undying references here too! The spritework and background is so fun too, with the carousal, 3d-aesthetic background!
I love this so much! The background reminds me of rotating flip books, where you have images around a ring. When you spin it, the pictures form an animation! Either way I love this battle a lot.
The fact Lumia is actually mad at Kris and has hate is unique. Jevil, just wants to play with them. Spamton, just wants Kris to join them and for Kris' SOUL. Mike (Not canon), wants them for fame, not to kill them.
Mike won't be the secret boss. He'd be a main boss if we were to trust the "secret boss always spits out the name of the next main boss" thing popularized by Jevil's announcement of Queen turning out to be true.
I like the Idea that this Shadow Crystal Holder is a thrown away Camera that wants to kill Kris, while also being like a "Hero" for other Darkness with similar Fates. Feeling like he's doing a favor for everyone, when in reality: He just lets his Rage Speak. [Similar to another Character...]
I’m not sure what the background is supposed to be - either those spinning moving picture things from the past (forgot the name) or a bunch of mirrors, like a funhouse of mirror - but I love it! Also, the Kindness shield idea was something I never would’ve guessed! I had a feeling it’d add eight directions, but I never would’ve thought of the shield and projectiles moving many different ways. Even that one rising segment was so well done! Awesome job! 💚
Nice detail of the free move before the special attack, didn't realize until just now but both jevil and spamton have those (jevil's attack is slightly less free but if you can dodge ruddins attacks you can dodge that) so its likely that the rest of the secret bosses will too
What wonderful shenanigans! I love how you used the theme of Darkness and foreshadowing of The roaring and fused it with the secret boss Abandonment theme. Spamton wanted to escape his pain, and ascend to [HEAVEN]. But Lumina wants you to feel their pain, and send you into Hell. They are willing to do anything so they won’t be forgotten by history. Also some of those attacks seem difficult! The star on a wire (is that a Reference to the unused faster version of Spamtons heart attack) Looked tough!
really creative way to combine bosses lumia is like a jevil personality character with spamton type looks and behavior sprinkled with a warrior fish from hit game Underpaid
your secret boss concept looks VERY canon. this simple design, this music, I love everything about it! lately I'm starting to get the impression that fans will start making such unique and original characters for the deltarun that toby fox will have to take (or buy) permission to use these characters) I wonder if toby can go for that and arrange a "competition for best character design"? Or will he once again get out and be able to come up with something more ingenious?
I imagine the item you get for beating him violently is a item called the long sword and when you check it in the light world it’s actually a selfie stick. That or a camera that gives a bigger hit box for the curser to land for more damage when attacking
This is great! Amazing job! Also the end is sad, it really gives me emotions similar to these I felt during Spamton monologue after NEO fight, so good job, because Toby's writing is hard to imitate, but you did it perfectly!

A martir at for people that might not know a martir is someone how died for someone else's sins usually used in a religious way The secret boss wanting heaven motif continuous truly AMAZING And you managed to make the super boring green soul interesting with lumias attacks
I really like how Original is your green soul, I have seen many fights using green soul adding only de diagonals. The thing I really like in the Lumia fight are these attacks: 1:48 2:03 (Here maybe you can add the TP/Glare Mechanic) 2:20 3:27 And the Magic that clear the screen when you get hit too
I like how Lumia has many references on his/her final battle, and is really cool! References: Jevil song reference Undyne the Undying (UNDERTALE) Asriel Dremmur (UNDERTALE, the reference is the final attack) Spamton NEO (The soul changing, Undyne the Undying/Normal Undyne has that too.) OMEGA FLOWEY/ProtoShop Flowey (When you defeat Lumia just using DISCHARGE/DischargeX ability) Some might not be references, so I think I did put something wrong, but is okay.
I unironically agree with what lumia is preaching here. Now i can take revenge on those whobe forgotten me because Martyrs go to heaven, and people like them go straight to hell!
man I can only dream of being actually good at design like I'm able to take existing things and swap them around visually (bad example: DeltaSwap's Bossman and Qu337), but I can also turn swaps back into the original source material (not-so-bad example: the guy on r/DelRuneChapRewrUnofic who turned Scampton back into a salesman, Junkil back into a clown, and Nerdly back into a loser. I'm that guy)
This is really amazing. This is not just the good old battles with the new soul stuff,there are other totally new things too! Like the filters covering the screen,the bouncing hits,the soul moving,and the fact that the shield parries more than just hits coming straight at you from 8 directions. Even if,i.must say,the all out attack was kind of underwelming.
Absolutely worth the wait! Do you think that you might release the Kristal mod? The attacks look really fun! Edit: whoops, just saw that this is part of a larger mod. Makes me really excited for the full release!

i shouldve commented this on the song but i noticed the world revolving and battle against a true hero letimof, makes sense because jevil is a secret boss and the green soul is used in the fight also battle against a true hero gives me the feeling of someone wanting to acomplish something, but they keep going to insane lengths to finally acomplish that thing like how undyne wants the 7th human soul or to break the barrier with determination lumia wants you to go to hell and is fighting you with crazy attacks to acomplish that edit: 7:53 omega flowey refrence?
It pisses me off to know that only the worst secret bosses are the most popular are while secret bosses like this aren't even known. Except for solis he deserves his popularity.

I would REALLY like to KNOW how you would make the mechanics in these souls be well fun! It's a request that maybe you can do more.. I translated it into Brazilian Portuguese! Please!
1. It’s hilarious how this is implying lumia wasn’t actually transformed, they just made themselves look cooler 2. I was paying close attention to how discharge and discharge X works. If kris uses discharge X then everyone else also has to, causing a 8+. However I noticed doing it separately has 3+. So wouldn’t kris, Susie and ralsei doing discharge separately be more? (3+3+3 = 9+ = 3 separate discharges in 1 turn, while 1 dischargeX = 8+) This makes dischargeX pointless when you could do 3 separate ones in a single turn to get a better result.
This is very impressive for the first fully developed fan made secret boss fight to come out(aside from Mike's Big Showdown), my only real criticism is with the track itself. I think it suffers from trying to replicate Battle Against A True Hero way too closely, which ends up holding it back from standing on its own merits. Big Shot had only some parts use Power of NEO and even then the leitmotif was altered enough to feel distinct.
SsSo… I REALLY like this… it’s a great concept and I like the idea but I just want to give a bit of feedback and ideas to make this fight extra GOOD and EXTREME 1:boss theme (I believe you are already improving and are aware of this so I will not speak of it) 2:the attacks themselves… they are too… similar if that makes sense… like Jevil and Spamton have really unique attacks… (like mainly projectiles and such) my favorite attacks is the star beam attack and the one with the lightning bolts bouncing on the thing… like that… just make attacks like that… maybe add more projectiles like put the yellow bolt in here and maybe an entirely new one! Or just other projectile types like just regular ones… I do like that you made bolts that took two hits to destroy… like that… 3: final attack… it’s too short not like saying it’s bad but it needs to be a bit longer in my opinion… it needs to have two parts and needs to be a bit longer… both jevils and spamtons final attacks have two parts. 4:dialogue… more dialogue… she doesn’t say much in the fight and needs to talk more… 5:give lumia in this fight a unique name… other than just “lumia” like: “LUMIA THE UNDYING” or something like that… 6:voice lines… you know what I’m talking about…and that’s it! I really like the concept and it’s really good! I hope you do a remaster in the future… I really like this! I don’t mean to cause harm or anything just giving feedback! Tbh I REALLY LIKE IT! The design, the attacks, the dialogue, the BACKGROUND, AND THE MUSIC!! feels really deltarune-like. Also like how it changes the attacks instead of the same boring shield usage. I had a similar idea for the different attacks.
This is the best Deltarune/Undertale fanmade battle I've seen. Very reminiscent of Jevil (with how similar Lumia looks and with the rotating background) and Spamton (they appear as a small mini boss the first time, but you can unlock their secret form by completing some steps) Another thing to mention is that: 1st - The song is great, love the part where it turns into "Battle against a True Hero" 2nd - The little flare in the eye is a nice throwback to Undyne's in the genocide route.
so question, what exactly is the green souls gimmick? like how yellow soul uses the [[Big Shot!]], so what would green souls be? other than that, i love this take, and this character.
Cameras use a bright flash to freeze moments in time, just as Lumia immobilizes the party at the start. When you can’t move, the only refuge from a camera flash is to block it with something. Like a shield. Or the Shadow Mantle. Whichever makes more sense.
I watched this project, for both encounters. While I didn't dislike it, I felt like it was pulled in too many directions at once. The dialogue feels like it deserved more thought into it, and Lumia lacks much character beyond "I hate kris". The sprite work doesn't feel very unique and feels hollow in terms of character and design. I don't have much to say about the music, as I haven't made any music before, but it could be greatly improved with catching or aiming for the energy of Deltarune's tracks (but I'm by no means saying you have to hold your standards to or near what toby makes). but! I do see potential in here for the ones involved, and I wholeheartedly encourage you all to continue exploring your creativity, and the areas you're strong in, to hone and perfect the craft ^^
love how this keeps in theme with the amusment ride motif the secret bosses have Jevil has a carousel, Spamton has a roller coaster, and here, Lumia has a zero gravity machine! (also love the detail of how the player looks like they are actually struggling to beat lumia unlike other secret boss animations)
@@CoreBolakah don't worry, that's normal when you first fight secret bosses XD I died like 70 times to spamton neo. it's not really as hard as its made out to be, it's just that first exposure that can screw you up. overall the fight is really balanced, good job
WOAH, thisSSsS is a very well executed battle. It looksSssS like if it was official, too bad it isn't though. I would have loved to ssSsSee this in the actual game.
The most creative take I've seen so far on the green soul, great job! Btw, is this an animation or a fangame? If it's the latter, do you ever plan on releasing it?
i love the fact that this actually looks like its in the game the only thing i dont really like about this is the green soul not having a charge ability like the yellow soul, since i think every soul (except red) will have a charge ability in every secret boss. (and theres 7 chapters and 7 human souls, so that means we will be using a different soul in each secret boss)
