@@bbernyy64 basically, it's a rule about repetition in comedy, where a joke is repeated three times, but the third time has some kind of twist that you're not expecting, making it funnier. for example, if you count this sentence, I've said "basically" twice now. if I were to repeat it for the rule of threes, I would have to either alter the word (misspell it, say it backwards, etc.) or say it at a time when you're not expecting it. the prank call follows this rule, with the first and second flirts being towards the beginning, and the third being at the end when you're not expecting it.
