I get exactly what you were going for but the song should totally be called "House Rouxls" - the players are making their own rules for the game.

Watch Rouxls follow you into every chapter and become more and more powerful until he can exist in the Light World with strength and form, and eventually usurping the player's powers.

I'm calling it now: Rouxls will be one of those joke characters that nobody takes seriously only for him to turn out to be surprisingly powerful/challenging in an eventual boss fight down the line. Maybe if you threaten/hurt Lancer he'll get serious and actually will try to stop you. He _is_ the "Rules Card" after all, and characters that are capable of messing with the way the game works are some of the strongest we know. Remember, this a Toby Fox game - that means every character has more to them than you might think at first. And there is definitely a reason for why this guy appears to be a reoccuring character.

Turns out that when Rouxls was turning to stone, he was actually making a cocoon for him to turn into his next form: Neo Rouxls!

This remix is super underrated! I love the inclusion of Chaos King in there. Maybe Rouxls would actually TRY to stop us in a later chapter with Weird Route data after doing a Berdly and figuring out something's up? (For example, what if your Chapter 2 Snowgrave data was brought over to Chapter 3, then Chapter 4, then Chapter 5, and so on).

i can imagine half way through the battle when the song gets more intense you are exited out of the fight mode and are running through a huge puzzle room that you have to complete in time while rouxls is firing spades at you

A friendly reminder that Rouxls Kaard is (rather obviously) based off the rules card in a pack of cards, which is discarded more often than even the joker card (aka Jevil). That's a lot of secret boss creating energy that hasn't been shown yet. Rouxls Kaard can also: -Teleport himself and other objects -Completely alter the rules of battle in an attempt to level the playing field -Will constantly pursue evil rulers in an attempt to join them (and judging from the use of the Hip Shop leitmotif in the Green Room teaser for Chapter 3, it seems like he might have succeeded...) -Is likely able to gain a sense of what fits and doesn't fit in a Dark World (He becomes a pirate in the Cyber World, which fits with the Dark World because pirating computers, and even spares him being fully turned to stone in the normal route because he's wearing a pirate hat so it still fits) If he got a Shadow Crystal then he'd be by far the most powerful and most difficult secret boss in the entire game.

Rouxls' theme is one of my favorite Deltarune songs, and way too short-lived, so now I have "It's Pronounced Rules" AND this magnificent version! Could this get any better??

the sad part is the rules card never has a place to play in a cards game, only to supervise and explain how to play with other cards. Knowing toby, we likely won't get an actual Rouxls fight.. :((

Oh no Rouxles realised he is the rules card

I know this is supposed to be more of a joke but to me, this remix sounds incredibly emotional. Especially at 0:32. I believe Rouxls isn’t actually stupid, he’s simply pretending because the King sees him as both entertainment and as a way to make himself look better. Rouxls eventually finds out that Kris (really the player) did something absolutely terrible to Lancer, somebody he truly cared about. After so long of holding back his true potential he finally unleashed his rage upon the Lightners for what they’ve done. He’s done playing the fool and now it’s your turn. Basically, I just imagine this big epic fight when I replay this video.

“Neo Rouxls” = “New Rules” Would be cool if the fight just completely disregarded the basic fighting style and adopts a completely new but interesting fighting style for this boss only

Shit I may be the only one here but we are all gonna die from his complex and hard to dodge attacks I mean his puzzles were hard

According to the hp values, this fight would take place in chapter 1, but ralsei isn't wearing his hat, meaning this would happen _right_ after the king battle

I swear neo is gonna become a over used term for boss fight true forms when in reality it will probably never get used again.

That Legend/Empty Town part is pretty sick. Makes me think if Rouxls is the true prince from the Dark

this sounds so good compared to all the other remixes of rouxls. It sounds so much like a theme that would be in deltarune by being a complete remix with still a reference to the original song, or a completely different song in the soundtrack. amazing work!

I feel like Rouxls's attacks would consist mainly of bending the rules, since, after all...he is the Rules Card. Edit: Perhaps some new SOUL modes, or changes to the controls. Edit 2: And of course, a puzzle break or two in the middle of the fight.

I feel like this is very well done, and though you intended it to be a silly bossfight, I feel like this works more with something akin to Undyne the Undying or what the fans wish Mettaton NEO was.

In my first when when i defeat rouxls, i thought he would be final boss and get big, but i got big queen instead, still a great game

He did want to show us his true power in Chapter 2, but got stoned before he could. I like to think that this is what could've happened if he didn't get stoned.

Love the motifs of Chaos King, Rouxls and Power of NEO in here, most people don't even try with the motifs Like sure I expected the last two, but I love how Chaos King is here, it fits SO well due to the fact he worked for King EDIT: By extension, Chaos King also includes a small melody of the Don't Forget/Legend letifmotif

The motifs in here are strong. I like the idea of Rouxls becoming an unexpectedly hard boss if you keep going down the Weird Routes, or maybe he'd pull a Mettaton and go down in one hit. I hope not tho-he is the Rules Card after all, that has the potential for a truly off the rails fight.

I really like the idea that Rouxls is one of the most powerful characters in DR but he's too much of a bottom to fight.

While it would be weird for Rouxls to have some kind of NEO form, considering how the original NEO body probably got destroyed alongside the Cyber world, I seriously want to have a fight were Rouxls becomes a bit more than a joke character. (Cough cough, mostly because I really liked this song and I want to see something as epic as this in the game)

I feel like if roulxs kaard had a super-form, it'd go down like this. At first, your attacks would seemingly mostly do no damage, or even heal him, and his own attacks would be dealing stupid damage to you, or somehow be impossible to dodge. The only way to beat him, would be to use the check command, which, each time you do, reveals a "rule". The entire battle has a bunch of very specific conditions that, if not followed, fuck you up, for example - Roulxs's attacks that are moving perfectly horizontally do no damage. - Attacking roulxs with susie heals him, if ralsei has not been commanded to defend on that turn - Using a healing item after kris has used a skill, will damage a random teammate for 50% of what the item healed. - Attacking roulxs after he uses a [specifc skill] only deals 25% damage to him, that turn. - Roulx's big lazer attack only deals 10% damage if you do not move at all during it. - Missing any attacks will cause roulxs to specifically only target kris with his next attack, and deal 200% damage. - If ralsei uses magic/skill, roulxs next attack will move twice as fast. - If kris uses a skill/command, susie and ralsei's attacks will deal 0 damage that turn. - If kris guards, susie's attack will deal 2x damage. - If you do not use an item in 5 turns, roulxs is healed on the next turn for 50% of his max health. So, in other words.. You have to actually read the rules, to understand how to win. These conditions would be randomized but in a balanced way each time you fight him, like there'd always be a condition that heals him for a bunch of health if you don't do something, there'd always be conditions that reduce your damage, or increase his, ect. And one of his final/near-defeat attacks would simply be to re-shuffle the conditions.

When Roulxs actually gets to use his true power

Ya know this theme is pretty fitting since he's supposed to be an anticlimatic Boss and what would be more anticlimatic than he being defeated in one hit while this plays or something

Imagine: chapter 7 releases, you find and beat every secret boss from all the chapters and then chapter 7, you beat the game, credits roll, out of nowhere, rouxls bursts through the credits and then the true final boss begins and this song plays in the background, with rouxls a kind of super neo and having INSANE attacks.

I could imagine this playing towards the end of the weird route when Roulx has finally had enough of what the player is up to. It captures that feeling of a final stand and the essence of hope so well, much like the Undyne EX fight!
