Pink eyes are usually a result of albinism (although albinos usually have blue eyes) & can cause poor eyesight in lit areas. It's because the melanin deficiency in albinos can cause iris transparency to the extent that you see the color of their blood instead of their irises. That transparency causes light to bounce around in their irises, obscuring their vision. Albinism is common in subterranean creatures because they're adapted to living in extreme darkness.

@ Well in chapter 2, she ask Kris to give Alphys chocolates. So she's probably doesn't know her name yet. It like she know her by look and attitude from a far but doesn't know her name. She's aware that Alphys is Kris teacher so higher chance she doesn't know her name but already know her in her own way.
It was apparently an error from Toby (it might be false, I just heard it on a video), but knowing how he transforms errors into aspects of his game rather smoothly, it's probably a reference to that.

I don't even think ralsei is a femboy (depending on your definition) he's literally just a soft goat boy. Seriously he's not even as feminine as people are saying he's just cute and all these guys are like "no he has to be a girl or something akin to one because I like ralsei" like no. With most characters with glasses, they take their glasses off and have little dot eyes. This is like the opposite of that, Ralsei takes off the glasses and gets 2x the eye detail.

People can have different interpretations of characters, and a lot of times there are characters who definitely seem trans, but it's not actually canon. Like Chihiro Fujisaki from Danganronpa is commonly headcanoned as trans, and they do seem like they are trans in canon, it's just not directly stated. Also, nobody is saying that femboys are trans bro? Like have you actually interacted with the trans community? They know the difference between femboy and trans. And literally nobody even thinks Ralsei is trans that I know of, so that whole thing about saying it's "pushed" is literally disproved by that fact as it shows that people don't just assume femboys are trans? Not only are his eyes pink but he has some killer lashes (possibly mascara??) and eyeshadow. They managed to make him look even more sweet somehow! He really is too cute, my fav for a reason :']

I definitely think Toby is simply going for breaking gender roles Most of the time, the Berserker/Barbarian character is a big buff dude who's aggressive and tough. And the Healer is mostly pretty, gentle dainty women. This time Toby went with the tough Barbarian being a girl And the soft dainty healer being a boy Ralsei having full eyeshadow, eyeliner, and eyelashes might be a bit much, but Susie is more masculine so Ralsei being more feminine in contrast makes sense.
I don't think it's intended to be makeup, his horns are the same pink so I think the "eyeshadow" is just intended to be shading on his eyelids. Toby DID definitely intentionally make him pretty though, but people can just naturally have thick eyelashes. It's very fitting for a prince!
im not a simp but im always exited to see more of ralsei in the game! (but if the new er chapters had a genocide run and you had to kill your ally's then i wouldn't do the route because i couldn't kill ralsei)

If you say "That seems far fetched" during the Susie festival convo, Susie remarks that Ralsei looks like...Toriel?! I'm looking at the headshot of Ralsei without glasses and...I can't I disagree with Susie. Ralsei does have feminine features and could pass as a male Toriel. So would this mean that the name Ralsei was meant to throw us off the fact that Ralsei is more based on Toriel than Asriel? It could explain the support of Kris and attachment Ralsei has to Kris and why Kris seemingly doesn't hold Ralsei in such a high regard...Kris doesn't exactly have a high opinion of their Mom since the divorce. :/

People are saying that they don’t trust Ralsei much because of how shady he acts at points. I can’t blame them, but I do think think that these pink eyes shed a little light on that. Mainly about how he hides things. I personally believe that he isn’t exactly hiding anything sinister or evil. But he is definitely hiding something. I personally think he’s hiding who he truly is. Not that he has a secret evil agenda or that he actually had a deep dark plan and is pretending to be someone who he really isn’t. But more that… well, he’s insecure. I believe Ralsei is just acting TOO nice. That isn’t to say that he isn’t a nice person, he’s proven to me personally that he is genuine with a lot of the things that he says. But I feel like he is trying to be more nice than he actually is to the point where he’s just a pushover. Ralsei has always been a mysterious kind of character hidden under something. For example, when we first see him, he is a faceless cloaked figure. Then we see him hidden in shadow under his hat and dark magic. At the end of chapter one, we see his face. During this scene, we see his eyes. During the boat ride, he implies that he is being dishonest about himself. Essentially Ralsei has a pattern of hiding things and revealing them as time goes on which was already immediately set up in the first chapter. I feel like this is no different. I think he’s trying to be appealing to Kris and Susie. Kris especially. I think he’s trying to be TOO nice. Things he says and stuff he does, a lot of it has been to be appealing. I don’t think he’s trying to lure our characters into a false sense of security or is trying to trick them or manipulate them. I think he’s just trying to really win them over as his friends. If you remember when we first meet him, he mentions how he has waited alone his entire life for Kris and Susie to arrive. Naturally, he would really want to win them over as friends. Second, he also keeps repeating at points how Darkners’ soul purpose is to assist Lightners. He himself is a Darkner. The Prince of Darkners. It would come naturally to him to want to make them his friends as he believes that they are the ones to save these worlds. Wouldn’t you want to be friends if you all had to work together? But, not only that, he also remarks how lonely he can get at the start of chapter two. Even though it had only been a day, he was very eager to see Susie and Kris again. We can probably tell that he spends a lot of his time alone. Perhaps he just really doesn’t like being alone, despite his shyness. He likes being involved in things and likes to be with people. He also had a personal talk with Kris in the swan ride. He says he likes spending alone time with Kris. Why? Because he does! He likes to talk, he likes to be around Kris. He enjoys actually having friendships. He even says that a lot of things are new to him. So friendship is new to him too. That’s why he would crave it so much. He even says himself that he told himself he ‘just had to be nice’ to Kris and Susie to make friends. But he begins to realise there is more to it than that. He then questions what being Ralsei-like really is. People were really set off by that. But I personally see it as character growth. Maybe, at a point, he could stop being so much of a pushover and really grow as a character. Knowing that he doesn’t just have to be nice and agree with everyone to make friends. He is questioning himself because he is having a bit of self reflection. Now, I’m not saying he isn’t a sweet fluffy boy. OF COURSE HE IS! Just that, maybe, he might grow a bit of a spine and be able to speak for himself much more. Heck, Susie even teaches him the R-ACTION where Ralsei acts for his self. But I do think he genuinely likes being with Kris and Susie. But I also think that maybe he might like it a bit too much. I feel like, as time goes on, he’ll want to keep hanging out. Whether that be going to the light world or even Kris staying longer in the dark world. This is obvious because, at the beginning of the chapter, he is eager to show off that he has made rooms for Susie and Kris. He wants it to be a home-away-from-home. He tries to make it as comforting for them as possible. He wants us to STAY. He doesn’t like being alone, so he wants to give an option for them to STAY. He wants them to keep coming back. He wants them to stay longer. He wants to really just be friends with them. But because of his lack of experience, he still doesn’t fully understand how it all works. Finally, people asked about why he acts so weird after the Spamtom NEO fight. I can see why people think it’s weird and out of character. This is intentional too. But I don’t think he’s implying to us anything sinister. I personally think he was trying to change the subject due to a bit of a small panic. Let me explain. After the fight, Susie outright questions about the fight. She mentions hands, strings, all that stuff. She is actively questioning the dark world. Obviously Ralsei knows more about the dark world than them, so maybe there is hidden knowledge there. But when he sees Kris freaking out (saying that Kris is yelling), that’s what really kicks it in. Ralsei might have actually panicked a bit. Going by my theory, he wants Susie and Kris to stay. He wants them to keep coming back. If they start to feel unsafe here in the dark world, they might not want to come back. Then Ralsei would lose his friends! So he tried to change the subject, he tries to brush it all off quickly and tries to make them think nothing of it. But not because he’s hiding something, but because he had a bit of a break in character. He acted strange because he felt he was under pressure to keep the dark world as a fun place to have an adventure instead of danger and pure darkness. He just wants them to focus on the good. This is where we start to see more of Ralsei’s conflict and hopefully character development. In conclusion, he isn’t evil or purposefully shady. He is a shy fluffy kind boy that is trying to make the dark world seem fun and exciting so that he can be with Kris and Susie, his first friends. He wants them to stay, even building rooms for them in his castle. He tries to make it seem like there is nothing dangerous and begins to get nervous and a little off when Kris and Susie actively question it. He just wants them to be happy and keep coming back so that he can be happy with friends. But, in doing this, he starts to realise that there is more to this friendship than what he thinks. Of course, he will be the Ralsei he always is, but maybe with more growth… He will show it more and more. Just like how he shows those pink eyes.

@@jolo6051 I think from what we have seen, toby has gone too far with ralsei, what I mean by that is yes it would be a too easy of a plot-twist but if he is not an evil character then it would also be too annoying. That's what I mean by going too far, ralsei is really a mess of character right now.

I would just see them from a new perspective! I think you are used to how you first saw them. For example, if someone you met without glasses wore glasses, usually they would look odd. Same goes vice versa.
