Got this yesterday and am just starting to play around with it. I love it so far. Sounds just as good as my big box DMM with all the great new features. I'll be posting more vids with some effects loop fun, as well as a comparison to the old DMM.
Also. There's that secret mode. Kind of cool.
I was playing a Fender American Telecaster into a Matchless Chieftain.
Thanks to James Duke for giving me the heads up on this.

great demo! finally someone who doesn't chatter throughout the demo, telling us what we already know! I love your tone and your playing. and nice to see you try a few different settings. keep it up!!

@morganchavis mainly the 4 NOS chips in use (same as the old DMMs), and it has over 1 second of delay time (which is a lot for an analog delay). also i got it for quite a bit less than $500. it was worth it for me.

@DemoColorScheme I don't know man. Maybe it is just the video compression or something, but mine gives about 2 or 3 clear repeats and then gets all foggy. I really love it. It is very dynamic, if you play percussively, it gives you the dotted eighths and whatever that you are looking for perfectly, but if you play slow, held out chords, etc... it melts and you don't even hear the attack. I think it is beautiful. Playing the casio's through the DMM sounds amazing as well!

@JonnyAppleCor at this level there is no such thing as "better". i do prefer this to my big box DMM because it's quieter and keeps the original tone intact better, and because it has more useful features.

I have the Stereo Memory Man w/ Hazarai and have had tone suck issues. Is that a problem with this one? Also, why did you stop using the empress vintage modified?v

@muzichan I use the echo park mainly for ping pong digital delay. Nothing will beat the modulated delay of the DMM.

@tubescreamer when I had a skreddy echo, the best thing in the world to me was putting a Freeze in the loop. It didn't mess with your dry signal, and it only froze the swimmy echo soup and then it kept layering on top of itself and got all warm and smooshy. I loved it. I fear that putting a Freeze in the loop of the DMMTT would cause instant feedback.

@cosmogang yes, i tried a carbon copy in the loop and i wasn't that impressed. had the same issue. but i want to try a bunch of things, i was thinking that putting a compressor in the loop might be interesting.

hey man i see you have a lot of experience with delay pedals. Do you recommend the echo park, carbon copy or DL4(explain me why its not longer in your pedalboard)? I know the time factor is the best option but i cant afford it yet

I have found that I don't like running a purely clean signal into the DMMTT. I think the DMMTT shines with a slightly overdriven tone like the Timmy. When you get a little grit in there, everything gets a little more fat and chewy and nastier with in the delay. Love this pedal. I really really want to try a Timeline, but this is a wonderful pedal.

Hey Andy, I was wondering if you knew where I can buy the same memory man tap tempo 1100? I can't seem to find this one anywhere...

They are hard to find. And when you do find them they are pricey. The chip inside of them that makes them tap and at a time of 1100 is rare. The DMM TT 550 is available and easier to find tho.

My only gripe with the DMMTT so far is that the effects loop doesn't work very well. What I mean is that you can't place anything cool in the effects loop (i.e. reverb, delay, etc...) without sending the DMMTT into self oscillation. Well, you can, but you have to turn the level/feedback way down. I was hoping for a gain control like on the Skrecho (the perfect effect loop delay!).

So what makes this one cost almost $500 where the Deluxe Memory Boy costs $180? I couldn't find any difference in them but maybe you can help with that. This sounds really great but I don't see the $200+ difference.

@DemoColorScheme Well, I also realized that Andy's modulation is way more subtle than mine. If I set my DMM the way he sets it - it would be a seasick mess. I have to keep the modulation depth REALLY low on my or it gets way too extreme. Maybe ours are adjusted differently or something. I have been contemplating trading the DMMTT for a timeline or something recently, but we shall see.....

@DemoColorScheme true, but the DMMtt and dmb are pretty different and the DMMtt oscillates pretty easy. I'm sure, if you turned the feedback down and backed of the level of the freeze it could work, but then it wouldn't be what I wanted! LOL

Hey Andy, have u ever heard of WAMPLER PEDALS? Check out the faux tape echo and Analog echo. I know your a fan of echos and Brian Wampler is a pedal GENIUS :-) GREATEST PEDAL INVENTOR TODAY!!!
