As someone who loves this game and wants it to be good, and who also happens to have a newborn, Delves seem like a perfect way to play whenever I have a minute 😂
As someone with a disability who likes to see people in the world and play with my partner, solo or duo content is my favourite! I can't wait for Delves!
@@vermin6107they have had the opportunity to allow every dungeon to scale to your max level and be relevant but they don't and that is a shame for every player.
Too much of a good thing can end up being a bad thing, so no, they shouldn’t do stuff like that randomly, and old zones will be getting revamped in the incoming xpacs, delves will therefore be in those revamped zones
@@Jokerwolf666 not it is not... having the playerbase spreadout so much would be bad, let's say that gear becomes the same bcz having so much gear would be stupid to balance, ppl would start floxking to "easier" dungs so they can farm more easily
I sincerely hope that Delves are a success because I would absolutely LOVE to see Delves in WoW Midnight & The Last Titan and the creativity Blizzard can bring with the themes of Quel´Thalas and Northrend!
This is an evergreen feature as stated at Blizzcon. They'll 100% be in the next two xpacs at least (worldsoul saga)--though they might be called something different as we move out from underneath the earth.
One of the coolest parts of Delves as a concept is how reusable they are. They can reuse Questing areas, even parts of Dungeons and Raids, or any other Art and Environment Assets, and create new ones relatively cheaply. They can go back to old Zones as well, especially if they tie them to Timewalking or something like the current Mists Remix thing.
I 1000000% agree that making hard mode delves with big gear rewards would make the reward system in this game feel amazing. Brings back the old school gaming style where it was a badge of honor to have actually defeated ganondorf. Group content is fine but you don’t feel the benefits of your gear as much as you would if we had a hard mode solo boss to judge it off of
I like the idea of hard-mode existing, but making it strictly optional like they are is a much smarter way. Let it award unique mogs or titles, but not better gear. If it awards better gear it isn't a hard mode. It's just the mandatory way everyone has to play.
If they are adding some cosmétic Rewards for max level Delves difficulty they should keep it for Solo runs, otherwise, the amount of bots fillimg the Group Finder selling carries will triple.
Only accesible to plate and mail users, gotcha (/s). In all seriousness armour types should have some kind ofnsoecisl.interaction with the environment at least as a gimmick in lesser situations.
Delves could definitely be the thing that keeps me in game more. I have a 1 year old at home and don't have the time to do M+ and keep up with outside raid requirements. So, depending on how long they are, they could be what keeps me hooked.
They really need to make sure these things do not require you to do any amount of group content to do the 'mage tower' style delves. The point of the system is to allow solo players to have their own thing in this game mainly.
For me its a DOA system if I have to RNG farm rares to get a key. If they can give me a way to target the keys I will gladly give it a go, however I do believe it would be best if they could self contain the system so that delves award you the keys.
we will have to wait and see what they decide. i dont think they will put the keys in the Delves though, people in WoW have a stupid habit of only doing one type of content, then complain of how bored they are.
I expect they will be tired to a world quest, so you can specifically see what quests will reward you keys so you can target them. But probably also have random mobs drop them.
I love these type of videos much more than the Clips channel. Every time I watch the clips, they just feel like longer conversations taken out of context. I mean from a creators standpoint I kinda get it because you can have a long conversation and then just chop it up into a little bits and then put out several videos from that. But as a consumer a lot of times, I’m left feeling like I need more information.
I worry that only the best players in the world will be play testing delves and report back that they are too easy, when the game content isn't really for them.
And even when the delves go live, the players in their Mythic gear from raids and M+ will be complaining that the delves are too easy. The feedback doesn't matter unless it is someone who actually got their gear from content like the delves themselves.
Locking content rewards behind another type of content entirely is just dumb, I really hope they change this by adding the keys to rares/elites in the delves. Just think about finishing the delve, seeing this huge treasure room and YOUR rewards from YOUR gameplay in the delve is locked behind world quests..
Are we for sure that the keys will be tied to open world public events? If so, that would be a huge mistake. Do raiders, PvP gladiators, and M+ players have to do public events to get the best loot from their content? Of course not. Solo players need to actually have their own pillar for once without forcing them to do other content.
Solo players already do world quests and, starting in Dragonflight, world events. Since this is confirmed to be another endgame pillar for solo and casual players, there’s absolutely no reason why they can’t give us world quest and world event rewards of keys for delves. In fact, I hope that’s the case. Raiders and M+ers already have a more massive time commitment, and they don’t NEED delves because they’ll out gear the rewards quickly, so that’s not germane.
I love follower dungeons, I wish they made the rewards exactly like an LFG. Or just get rid of LFG, since people would rather do a follower than a LFG. With follower dungeons, I don't have performance anxiety or worrying about a toxic piece of garbage ruining my mood.
a nice side effect i realised whilst watching footage, is that delves will hopefully provide a simple training ground for players un-initiated into m+/raid with regards to learning game mechanics. learning to interrupt, the visualisation of certain spells and other mechanics of the nature. im sure as they naturally want to progress in difficulties by themselves, they'll learn in a meaningful way how to combat these using the tools in their characters kits, kinda similar to the MOP proving grounds in a way but more cemented into the game :)
Delves are great. Torghast was fun, but it being mandatory made it un-fun, because you were FORCED to do it, instead of choosing to do it. As a casual who hates partying/raiding, Delves will be great way to get Gear without tryharding so I can focus on the casual stuff that's TRULY important, like Fishing or getting Insane in the Membrane.
The key thing is a super red flag. It’s not just gated, it’s gated.. behind other content? That I have to keep farming? …why? I want challenging solo content to provide a parallel gearing pathway to being nutscraped weekly in a wiping raid group. I don’t want to do more fing world quests.
Do you see Delves and Follower Dungeons blending together at some point in the future? I'm really enjoying Follower Dungeons. Think we will ever see Follower Raids?
@@asthelegendgoes You ever think the reason some players don't like Dungeons and Raids is because of people like you ruining the experience? Or if you want to knock out the Dungeon/Raid quests why wait 10min for the queue to pop for each one when you can do it in one quick shot. Follower Dungeons are pretty chill and relaxing and give you a chance to look around at the cool artwork and animations. Current Normal Dungeons are just the Tank running as fast as possible to each boss and good luck trying to keep up. And if you die, no way to get to where the tank is with all the NPC's still alive between you. Heroics, for me, have been fun with players patient and helpful for underperforming players so far with no one like you. LFR has been the same way with no players like you.
@@asthelegendgoesthat’s the kind of toxic attitude that drives people away from wow. Follower raids would be awesome. Obviously you would need to scale the loot because it is a soloable activity and keep the best loot for regular groups doing raids normal heroic and mythic to encourage that group activity.
I am an introvert who hates group content. Delves and follower dungeons are HUGE deal for me. Lets hope Blizzard adds follower raids too, so I can experience the story without (literally) suffering through raid finder.
i think delves (if done right) are gonna be a lot bigger in terms of participation than mythic+ and especially raiding. it might honestly become the main pillar of wow's endgame
So it seems like a different iteration of Torghast but better which is welcomed. Having something to break up the nonstop running from quest to quest to quest is going to feel nice looking forward to it
They are missing the point by focusing on severely ramping difficulty, lockouts and keys to get loot. Just make them endlessly repeatable for Equal to or Less than Heroic Raid loot, the companion system/talents is perfect, the mount is perfect. No reason to get into the weeds until that is all implemented, and most of all, until they are all fun to do.
I am really excited about Delves and they will probably be my main focus but I don't like that the hard delves will be probably imposible without raid gear, there's no need for that.
~5:30 We proposed these sorts of ideas in the blizzard forums already in vanilla. It's... baffling... I checked out by the end of WotLK, and while I still occasionally look at WoW from afar, what the company has become and done, in parts also in the game, but mostly outside of it, just keeps me behind the horizon for that occasional nostalgic peak that only ever ends in a sigh. Same thing with Game Workshop and their stuff.
@@scruffynerfherder33 Classic accuse your enemies of what you yourself are doing right here. Your side has already admitted to having infrastructure and dedicated resources to such practices. Plus they own practically all mainstream media outlets.
If Delves end up being just as easy as another quest I'll be very disappointed. I want to have the same level of energy and focus I get in a raid or dungeon, but one that I can play alone/with 1-2 friends.
As a casual player with serious social anxiety and PTSD I can enjoy this solo/group content alone or with friend of mine. I hated Chorghast for death timers/floor timers and sheer randomness of good/useless powers. Least with this I can sit back and just chug along at my own pace alone or with friend have some laughs and good time. Real life is stressful as it is don't want my WoW time to turn into second job or beholden to Guilds who doesn't understand or care about my anxiety/PTSD people like me excist and feel alienated forced into Guilds etc. I already do LFR alone/friend and with Devles if its done right not turnt into Chorghast will be another great way to get some decent gear etc.
I hope delves work out as it would be content for me. I'm a bit leery on the key thing as I don't want to be stuck grinding world content just to do what I actually want to do. I suspect delves will be enjoyable for much longer than world content will be enjoyable. I also hope they don't micromanaged the fun out of them or make higher difficult simply feel tedious. My biggest concern is that Delves don't feel different enough or special enough. I was hoping for a larger jump in innovation of gameplay methods than what I've been seeing in them so far.
Michael please remember something doesn't have to be super hard to have fun this is for the casual audience players..also the key thing remember forbidden reach..it was like popular for 2weeks then it got stale..and yes you have to grind your brain to gather those keys .to get into the room to do the puzzles..it was tedious..
As an open world/outdore players I think delves so far looks great. I dont mind getting a challenge, but I have to do them at my own pace. When playing wow I dont want to get stressed out. In Mythic+ and raids is stressing me out alot, but i think raiding and mythic+ shall be in the game for players who enjoy that type of content.
Welcome to Path of Exile endgame. Just without the complexity. This would have been fun in the olden days... enough opportunity for it there was. Could have done this easily with some labyrinthine crypts, especially with the Qiraji theme or past that with the Nerubians in Northrend, which were so completely wasted it hurts.
I just get the impression that Blizzard doesn’t know how to make an RPG anymore. All they know what to do is making more dungeon crawling hamster wheels.
I friggin loved Torghast, but I hate how it was mandatory for people who didn’t like it. My only real complaint with DF was that the Torghast descendants were not nearly as fun as Torghast.
I killed the lich king back in wotlk why cant i just walk into a new place and feel powerful and just own it with mind puzzle for a challenge for a change
I'm sorry but do we really need FOUR types of crests? One crest, just jack the costs. If Johnny Hardcore wants to grind lower difficulty to upgrade, that's on him.
I loved torghast and I'm *mostly* looking forward to delves, It's that air/candle mechanic that just looks like a pain in the ass. People find that interesting? I want the content hard, not "keep your candle lit" nonsense dictating difficulty.
Delves look amazing. I hate dungeons and i haven't raided since vanilla 18-19 years ago. I can get some PvE fun with Delves on my time and no garbage people to put up with that you CAN but not always run into group content.
I'm excited for delves, but am fairly annoyed about having to earn a key outside the delve itself. I don't have a lot of hours to play each week, and needing to grind WoW's worst content - daily quests and world bosses - to allow delves to deliver gear is frustrating. Just because I am a "midcore" player doesn't mean that I faceroll dailies all the time...
What do you mean by rework. They just reworked them recently. If you mean basically change m+ completely, why would they rework their most played and biggest feature. Tonnes if players play entirely for m+.
Spamming the sad excuse for "content" known as M+ is the exact opposite of what I want. Yet every iteration continues to make it more or less mandatory for mythic raiders. I want raid progression back.
@@UltimateGamerCC In practice the only upgrades you can get after a few weeks are from weekly chests and end bosses. That's not even close to the same thing as getting pre-raid bis or close to it from dungeons. Prior to legion, raid progression wasn't exclusive but was primarily done through either being extremely skilled/extreme cutting edge access to addons or acquiring more gear, yes, through mythic raid bosses that were on farm. I want no part in spamming the same dungeon 8 times every week.
More solo contgent is the only way I can play wow now and I guess there are tons of people in the same boat who are now married with kid(s) and can t plan raid times anymore.
Hard =/= fun , I'm tired of hearing that (personally) , I never enjoyed anything in video games that was hard , kind of like why I detest souls like games and absolutely love Warriors series games (Dynasty , Orochi etc.)
Honestly, delves seems to be weak to me. Do caves with the same NPC to get itens weaker than dungeons and raids - what means the game design still the same: pushing people to do raids and m+ for get good gear, and the rest of the huge world(maps, quests, etc) wandering into oblivion. And they charge monthly. Blizzard's sense of fun is dead to me.
I just can't express how uninteresting and unimportant "delves" feel. The only way for me to progress my character in retail WoW is to do the treadmill. *That's* the problem, and it's been that way since fucking Wrath. I *despise* the lock out system. At least in Classic you had so many things you *could* do that it didn't feel like the time gating slapped you in the face and said "no more gaming for you this week"
It was stated this was for outdoor world casual players to level and gear. It becoming a sweaty raid player thing instead of just for fun is not surprising.
I guess we have to find out ourselves. While I do agree that Dragonflight was much better than BfA and Shadowlands, I still think it was decent/ok in general and nothing mindblowing in terms of both content and Lore.
I'm ultra casual never touched m+ or raided in the last 10 years but Delves also do nothing for me, they're just scenarios, they're not fun, scaling them up won't be fun for me horrific visions, skara vaults and mage towers were enjoyable to different degrees, getting good gear means nothing, they're not enjoyable
I think delves will be good. I hate the M+ scene because there seem to be a small minority that enjoy ruining other peoples keys. Raids also take far too long to organise only to continuously wipe all night. Not fun after a full day of work.
A lot of streamers seem to be worried about TWW , as in that there's just not enough to do. the content seems bland, more of the same. that's the general vibe i'm getting - What is your opinion on that , Bellular?
