The people here criticizing the audio are cracking me up. Are y'all under the assumption that this was some sort of official video put out by either the comedy club, or the Demetri Martin staff? I hope not. For one thing, it would be kind of odd to criticize the audio, yet somehow not mention anything about the terrible video shots that were so far back you could barely see anything. The audio and camera crew have to be amateurs! lolol C'mon people, it was a person with a damn cell phone camera. So unless you're a moron, the audio and video are exactly what one should expect.
I hate how relatable the toast bit is after working in food service. "This has happened before!?" Working the service industry has taught me an important quote. "Think of the average person and how dumb they can be...half of everyone is dumber than them" people set stuff from the floor on makelines WAY too often.
The ending to the tunnel joke is obvious; it’s a call back to the previous joke: ‘...so you’re going down the tunnel for the second time, seeing your grandparents again, meeting your dog again, and then, suddenly, someone from the outside starts turning on and off the tunnel lights, saying come on buddy you’re taking too long!’ - Ken in Hawaii
joey conti yeah and the material is like 4 years older than this show. He performed all of this in his 2015 special. I think it’s lazy for comedians to go on tour and continue to re-hash the same material. Yes some of the jokes are staples but you’ve gotta get some fresh content in there.
You’re obviously a complete newcomer to the creative process of professional comedians. They work hard to perfect their routines and material while doing many, many small shitty gigs, which, if not for this bootleg video, you’d be oblivious to. Each routine (often culminating into a special) is like a band or musician’s album. They practice and learn from the audience’s reactions before finally refining their perfected routine for a special. There’s not and never has been a human being alive or dead who could just come up with completely original routines for every single little bullshit gig they get. Learn about the industry and creative process before sophomorically exposing yourself as an ignorant retard, publicly.

Uh there’s no need to sign your name and location at the end of each of your low rent, hackneyed piggy-back comments on Demetri’s jokes.
