Canelo didn’t want it. Look at the energy difference in the post fight ring interviews after he beat Daniel Jacobs and the one he beat Billy Joe Saunders. Both are similar situations but he called out Caleb Plant in one and he didn’t call out Andrade. Andrade was signed to DAZN like Canelo and he was even present at the fight but nothing.

Moved up to fight an old kovlav @175 & it was for less money.🦆 Canelo ain't the best @168 or 175. Andre ward is better & he beat kovlav twice when he was in his prime🤫😤. If Canelo would have fought him then Andrade’s boxing story could have been different, especially if Andrade won. Andrade has been a belt holder in the same weight class with Canelo and still couldn’t get a match-up against him. Yildirim and Ryder was able to get a match-up with Canelo, but not Andrade. Not fair at all. Andrade would have a different story in boxing if the so called best would actually fight the best and Canelo has to take blame for not always fighting the best because Canelo gets to choose who he fights and he never chose to match-up against Andrade.
