It's always going to be Ariana for me. From her bottom belt to her top belt, everything is just so smooth. Demi is still amazing. Those chesty belts are very impressive and very climatic.

As far as whos more skillful as a vocalist without a doubt is ariana shes practically mastered every register and can seemlessly sing throughout every part of her range. Demi is great as well.
@@angelxemotions9102 she's only going to get better, bc she had recently had classical or broadway training again, and i do think she's mastered nearly almost aspect of her voice as of rn, she has better control over her lows, and finally managed to bring her vibrato down to an E3, that and her headvoice/falsetto is a lot more clearer. she's also very good with her technique in terms of belting, and her vocals in 2021 proves it, with a lot more support, more freedom, although she's always had that it's a lot more prominent now, and her whistle register is also well controlled, so she's on the way of mastering almost every aspect of her voice

Mastered? Thats a reach. She's great but she doesn't even has better belt and projection than Tori Kelly. Her head voice is also decent. Agillity is definetly top notch. Lows is so so because *mostly* she can't even hit as low as G3 consistently and always trying to avoid it with addlibs. Dynamic is decent
@@DaddyBlasto huh? her lows are good til about a f#3 either way her voice sits so high so her lows are still pretty good. she has good moments down to a E3. she can go lower but the tone wavers and support isn't present. Her head voice is pretty versatile it can be full and piercing, airy, she can do really agile runs, nice transitions. Ariana has a completely different approach to belting then tori. Ariana is about what feels comfortable and what is less straining on her vocal cords so she mixes her head voice in more. Which is why she can belt out bb5s 100 times on tour and sing every note under the sun with a smile on her face (literally). You guys always compare her voice to others as if that's to say something? HER voice is HER voice and its very developed and close to mastery. She doesn't have to try to sing like anyone else but herself.
I think both are amazing, I also believe that we can be impressed with the vocals of both, this is a matter of taste, not who is better, so I prefer Ariana 🖤
Demi belts from her Chest which is an extremely more difficult technique to master than relying on a mix or head all the time like Ariana. Demi’s power is similar to Xtina
Girl bye EVERYONE has to mix when going high. Its impossible to belt like a G5 in pure chest. Its just a matter of how balanced ur mixed voice is, if its chesty or too heady.
@@angelxemotions9102 it is still poossible to belt above G5. Prime Sohyang, Pauline, 2015-2016 Ariana, Demi Lovato, Patty Labelle, etc can do that. Just because it is thinning and lighter doesn't mean its not a belt. Belting and mixing is two diferent coordination. A belt is still belt no matter how light or bright u sang.

Weirdly enough, Demi wins! I think it's because most of the clips used for Ariana were from the DWT and SWT, were her upper belts were outshining her mid-belts while most of the Demi clips were from 2018 or later.
Demi's F5 was from 2014 and it was the worst year of her voice. Creator you should've used the No promises F5 sustained for 8 seconds !!! There are a lot of performances better than that !!
I think one major difference is the tuning on Ari’s live vocals. She’s a beast regardless. But Demi doesn’t use live pitch correction. So her’s are more raw as opposed to overly polished.
Demi for me, ari and demi are in some way similar, the difference is the weight that they put on their vocals, ari's voice floats, while demi has more meat. i personally like meaty vocals
Demi and Ariana are good in their ways, thank you for uploading this! Demi has more power and openness, she has great head voice and uses it to convey emotion, not to mention she’s never lipped before. But she’s also got her weaknesses like her sense of pitch which has been decreasing over time. Ariana has been less active recently. But her technique and her upper belts are always a point for her, she has ease through almost every note of her range and she mixes in a very pleasant and soothing way. Even though having airier mid belts and less support. She’s just the VOCALIST of the generation and she’s on par with Demi.
B4- None C5- None C5 2- None C#5- Ariana C#52- Demi D5- Demi!! Supported Eb5- Demi Eb5 2- Ariana!!!! E5- None. Didn't like either E5- None. Didn't like either F5- Ariana F#5- Demi F#5- Demi G5- Demi. @briannaaudain928 Ariana's First G5 is too heady for me whereas Demi is balanced Demi's G5 for the 2nd was sold by the Voice break. And the fact that it was a closed vowel means it's harder to do than Ari's open belt. Ari was good. I just felt and connected with Demi more on that note
A5 is really hard to do not demi phrasing it and some of it are in closed vowel like "See" and "clearer"!! Also the Bb5 demi also did it in Closed vowel.

Actually, their really gold range (you can call supported notes if you want) are kinda similar. The big difference here is the weight of their mix range, some prefer lighter and heady mix, and other's powerful and heavy chesty mix. Both mixed voices not wrong, it's just preference.
Ariana has the healthier technique and her's come with ease. Good concept but the video is obviously biased. I could tell instantly from the clips that they picked, and then when I went into the account as saw tons of Ariana videos but 0 videos about Demi it confirmed it.
it's not biased, i chose the clips i thought sounded good for both. i've barely even seen any sweetner world tour clips. and there are good demi clips in this video, so if you thought it was biased then you're sadly mistaken

I’m proud of Demi for how far they’ve come however Ariana’s easily taking this her belts sounded more controlled free and consistent that’s not to say Demi hasn’t improved tremendously I just think that since Ari’s voice sits higher naturally it’s more of a sweet spot for her some of Demi’s belts just don’t sound open enough throughout the clips it could just be a me thing but both did absolutely amazing DEMI IS FINALLY COMFORTABLE HITTING Bb’s and B’s beyond proud of them and hope to see more!!
Ariana don't support her entire belting range 😂 Demi don't support too. And their support range is kinda similar. The big difference is the weight of their mix

@@itsnizzz Sound healthy and clean for you ,doesn't mean that really is, both is clearly straining up there. I never listened none of them support (if you wanna use this term) higher than F#5, of course I saw many good clips of them singing higher than this in a good way. And being honest Ari uses a tuned mic (wich is not a bad thing at all, she is a professional and sound great with or without). Tuned mics will sound way cleaner that's why many artists use.
@@itsnizzz I saw great Ari belts, so I did with Demi's and not only with this video. And both are very similar in the belt area. Both star straining by inconsistent habits not for not know how to do it properly. Ari prefer lighter mix and is really easy for her use heady mix cause her voice is naturally light, and Demi prefer to use heavy mix and is natural for her cause her voice naturally is more heavy and that doesn't mean that one is better than other is just differences between them. Both voices sits very high actually but the heady mix is really more helpful to hit those notes, and this is the weakness of the chesty mix most of times. And the Chesty mix is more powerful than the heady mix, lighter mix lack power and it is the weakness of this type of mix most of times. But all this mess in the vocal community in the internet start because people are obsessed about high notes. And I understand, high notes are cool but is not everything.

@@briannaaudain928 well yeah, bc some of them show an artist's best vocals, but since there were so many ppl complaining abt the clips that i used for the falsetto and whistle clips, i had to resort to tour clips, and i don't know a lot abt the dwt, not more than i do the swt. so i was left a little blind sided on both ends with both demi and ariana
