Please do demi Lovato - in case (studio). She refuses to sing the song live because it's so emotional for her, so there's only one recording of it.

He died from Cancer in 2013 and she rejected any relationship with him after he and her mother divorced. She has said that he was abusive and had a history of mental illness and was incapable of raising a family. But she also knows he wanted to be her dad and he just wasn't able.

Her father died in 2013 from cancer. He used to abuse her when she was younger and lied about having cancer when she younger. he manipulated her he abused her he was bipolar just like demi is. He chose drugs and alcohol over a family and left demi her mum and sister

i think the girl that cried at the front row had her own struggles in mind and probably because she is one of her fans (lovatics) she already knew the meaning of the song that Demi about to sing. It probably made her emotional even before Demi's singing started.

This is at recovery house (There’s a small blurb in the beginning explaining that but it’s hard to see unless you’re looking for it) the girl in the front row is probably going through the same emotions with her father. Demi’s father was bipolar and an addict and had mental issues and left them years ago when she was young. He passed away a few years before this was filmed in 2018. She has had addiction problems for years and the last time she relapsed is in July 2018.

Yay Demi!!!!! Her father was alcoholic, It's pretty bad, that's why she started to drink, and use drugs ("even if you started this whole war in me"). And "you left us alone" is because her mother broke up with him, she had to, and bcse he died with cancer some years ago...🇧🇷❤

I see people in the comments have already say what happened with Demi and her dad, you should listen (not react if you don't want to) to "For the Love of a Daughter", "Shouldn't Come Back" and "Warrior" she wrote those for her father as well and pretty much tells the story of their relationship

Song is about her real father about that he wasn't a very good person he was an alcoholic and he used drugs so she and her family walked away so Demi didn't have a good relationship with him and she had depresion when she was 6 years old and when she was 20 he died from cancer and she wrote this song to him!

Oh I thought I added this but when I went back and looked I didn’t see it LOL! As far as you wondering if people don’t like the way you stop the video and talk about it, that’s actually why I watch these reaction videos to hear you guys stop it and talk about it and then resume it after you stop talking. There are some people that react to things that talk through the song and it’s highly annoying so please keep doing it the way you’re doing it. And I always figure if I wanna watch the whole performance I can go to the original upload.

Her dad was alcoholic and drugs addicted. This kinda made Demi addicted of these stuffs too. You should definetly watch her documentary on youtube called ''Simply Complicated''. She explains there everything.

Demi’s father was a drug addict and suffered from bipolar disorder. He was abusive caused turmoil in their family, however he died in 2013. Demi also suffers from bipolar disorder, drug addiction, and eating disorders. After 6 years in recovery, Demi suffered a near-fatal drug overdose after a relapse in 2018. She has recovered, and made an amazing comeback performance at the 62nd Grammy’s.

Her mom had to leave her dad with her and her sister when Demi was 5 years old because he was bipolar and a drugaddict, his abandoment is what started her struggles (the war in her) that at teen ages became depression, eating disorder and later drugs and she is also bipolar like him... he died when she was an adult but they never got a second chance to fix their relationship, she still tries to forgive him because she understands that he didnt get the help that he needed.

Demi and her father both suffer from bi polar disease, as well as depression and substance abuse. So I can see the love/hate theme she was singing about. It’s something she hates about herself and her dad.. (its really more towards the addiction and disease.. not directly at her or her father per se’) but at the same token.. it’s something they share and can relate to that bonds them together.

Her father was an abusive alcoholic and addict and he left her, her sisters and her mother. Due to him choosing drugs and alcohol over them it led to Demi experimenting with them herself to see what was so great about them which led her down a dark path of alcoholism and drug abuse :(
