I'm young. I've been through ALOT of shit, and I still am. I don't have much experience, except my own and some words of wisdom. I'm not perfect. I self harm, don't cut, I just get something a bit sharp and dig it into my skin to calm me down. I'm not skinny. I have stopped eating as much as I used to, and I do sometimes not eat even when I'm desperate. I don't have friends. I have no-one to rely on. I'm a tomboy. Barbies? I think action figures. Dresses? I think jeans and a hoodie. Girly games? I think Skyrim. And, I'm not proud. I'm mostly feared, and was hated at first for my brothers' doing. I'm smart. I rarely loose an argument, or a race. I swear that I have a bit of anger issues and ADHD. Some times I'm so angry, I have to use all my energy to focus on not going nuts. I'm bullied for being a tomboy, and one of my best friends has turned on me, and calls me fat and annoying, a bitch and more. I had suicidal thoughts at a young age, and occasionally still do. All I can say, is carry on. Ignore them. Don't let them get under your skin, and don't let a razor. It will get better, sometimes it takes a while. Good luck with whatever you are dealing with. I hope your situation gets better quickly. Remember: You might be by yourself, but you are not alone. Think about that. It'll help more than you think. It helps me.
Demi has helped me because I am getting bullied at school and I think everyday why me getting bullied why. I will come home and write on my hand warrior to know that I am a warrior and Demi has taught me to confident and your a warrior and to never give up. Thank You Demi!
I am going through something atm were I will eat normally in the day then at night if I'm hungry I will think I'm gaining weight and I will refuse to eat. I'm also refusing breakfast. Earlier I was sat with my friends and thought I was fat so I did sit taller to look less fat and I am ashamed so I am so grateful that demi is honest about her issues cause it does make people like me feel more positive also thx to u for making this video.
The only problem is when you ask for help or tell someone about it, they judge you. You stop being who you are and when people look at you they only see "atention seeker"
i was just thinking something. if you take the responsibility of your actions on because people respect you for not shifting blame and taking it head on but if you did it and you feel almost like you wish you never did it... taking it on i believe there is a greater risk if developing guilt and then shame. And although we are encouraged to by Brene Brown and her work speak shame - we do not speak shame and i think for me its because i know its not always going to be matched with empathy. Why would i tell someone something if i dont think they have the capacity to understand me? There is a fear involved and if i make that leap i look before i share. And, when you take your responsibilities on when you feel remorse and shame there is a greater risk self harming. When you truly believe your a terrible person, you'l want that instant gratification because you are angry and you need that release and when you hate yourself that much - most of that anger will be turned inward and im not trying to project myself as a bad person here if anyone understands but i dont want to and wouldnt want to harm or cut myself because who wants to be seen or viewed as emotionally unstable. Half the time we have to be seen as keeping our shit together, just about. We were all raised to believe that that was keeping us strong and i know the world is changing and people like respect and are drawn to authentic people which i so want to be but there is that fear factor of doing it. And i think for Demi having those tattoos on her arms were the best thing she could have done but and she has helped herself alot when you talk about it and you take the risk to work with the fear you actually take that self harm away. I think once you start believe people believe you are messed up and you need help but its through not taking and keeping it a secrect and as Brene Brown says "it takes three things for shame to grow - secrecy silence and judgement and buying into the belief you are on your own...) nah it doesnt work that way but by reaching out, sharing your story are the first steps at becoming seen and heard. It takes courage... a huge risk factor is involved but once you do it and are willing to talk about it as Demi is explaning or has explained it gets better
Im so glad i found out who she was... No demi no me.... Peiple really do need to realise what bullies can do to you, be brave... Stay strong to whoever is reading this..... :)

Every little part of this made me cry... It is just touching and heart warming to finally know that this is the past and anything that happened to her is behind and will never happen again... She is literally my hero my inspiration my idol my everything and I just have one wish and that wish is to just meet her and then just give her a high hug... Everyone says that she saved their lives and true it may not be the same story as her as in living in a shadow and want I gym starve yourselves but getting saved by her to me just means that she saved my life because she seeked help and I know now that if I don't feel good or in wanting to self harm or anything like that I know to just think back and watch all of Demi's videos now talking about how its now good to do any of these things... I just love Demi that is all what I wanted to say after this all

I'm genuinely crying at this. I knew Demi wasn't perfect no one is but to hear her talk to strongly of who she's become and explain her past. I don't understand why I'm crying other then this, Demi she shows everyone why you are worth it, what you could become. You can't be exactly like her but time after time she has struggled, again and again she seeks help even if it takes awhile she puts effort. Everything she's felt and been through has made her into this person I personally call my idol. It insane to think that I sit here with the same thoughts she is explaining, knowing that she was once here and now she's there. One of the best singers and songwriters with so many accomplishments.I don't even know how to explain everything I feel towards her, but I'm hoping this is enough.
She's so gorgeous! Her face is gold and she is just so beautiful and a good person.. I don't believe that anyone is perfect but she is definitely a role model and she can help a lot of people by speaking about her own struggles...
You don’t have to be perfect l will take Demi for the way she is and if she’s happy eating junk food she will fit right into my family we love to eat we have eating parties every chance we get and Demi is welcome to hang out with me

I was so depressed at age 10 because I though I was so stupid and I'll have suicidal thoughts that I was not good for people. Demi Lovato help me with this struggle. If it wasn't her helping me I would have not been here today. Now I'm 12 years old and I wish that I can show the world how I was going through in my life. I want people to know that Demi Lovato Is here. I'm proud to call her my HERO.

She is an incredible inspiration because most of us, like me don't ever believe of the possibility of getting to the point where you can share and feel better about your self. There's just a lot of pressure and i am so afraid to speak up. Even tho i know is gonna take a long, long, super long time before i decide to stop doing what i know i should not be doing, she is there. A person i can think of if i want motivation because sometimes i want to drown my self in it and not even try but sometimes i realize how bad it is what i do and that i am not the only one and there she is. A proof of the possibility of living unbroken.
