Demi sang 'Skin Of My Teeth' last night at 'Jimmy Fallon' and it was really good! They pretty much hit every single high note and sounded just like the studio version. What did you think of it? Most of the high notes sounded neutral, they were open unlike before and they were all clear, the F#5 0:32 is even nearly supported or maybe it is really supported because it sounded kinda resonant.
ya'll learn a word like "support" or "resonance" from a youtube vocal "coach" & run with it lmaooo. demi's entire upper range is supported. that's because they're absolutely fantastic at breath managment. support is simply how you manage breath flow vs breath pressure in a vocal phrase .
@@ihatecoffee7185 I totally understand your statement. Support means to support your singing by controlling consistent speed of air to regulate and vibrate the cords more efficiently. What the vocal community means by support is a sound that is healthy by listening to these factors: free larynx, open throat, relaxed tongue and jaw, breath management, balanced mix (in high notes) etc. and overall healthy vocal production in any part of the range. Some of these factors go hand in hand. For example, if you have a relaxed jaw your tongue will most likely also be free. Or if you have problem with squeezing your cords and getting too chesty you'll have to learn the right breath technique. Hope this cleared it up!
@@vocal.genius it was chesty, very chesty but it was close to support or I guess it may be because it sounded resonant, there is really resonance and a resonant sound cannot be unsupported, it's always supported. I consider it supported and resonant. It seems like, it started resonant then slowly decreasing freedom.
