There's even much more here than Allie's top class mastering of everything she sings. From the first note to the very end anyone can tell how deep her feelings are while singing this song. I'm quite sure she was thinking about her Mum all the time, keeping her eyes shut to be alone with her despite the crowd, she only opened them once to look at her Dad. That moved me to tears.
I discovered Allie's music about 2 years ago. First time I've heard this song. Lovely and she was so cute then ...beautiful girl now. Her voice gets better and better. ❤

Although yes i like her voice a lot, i think this song is difficult to cover because of its meaning. Some songs just dont sound that good covered because it wont have the same emotion and backround as the original. But it was a nice cover so dont get on me about ut
I agree! Demi wrote the song because of her relapse and she sang it amazingly, because she threw all of her heart into it, this girl has an amazing and incredible voice, and the song works for her range, but she just cant do it the same but she sounded amazingg!!!

This just in. Allie Sherlock's singing has The Voice just like in channel 4 in America. There's a future generation if she wins The Voice after blind auditions. Just like my role model Vanessa Carlton due to her song A Thousand Miles, she definitely went the extra mile. Now that's a touchdown!

That's a song about addiction. Not sure if you know much about it. The singer who I think wrote it just recently overdosed. I watched and did the best I could to help some one I love get sober. I have seen the dark side of addiction thing's you never want to see. I helped care for this friends daughter who was born addicted. Praise God mom is sober and the girl will be 4 next month. But no dad in her life and my friends family don't want me around. I say that to say please stay grounded as I have said in my other comments and be true to yourself. You are talented beautiful and you seem like a nice young lady. Dad I think you read this your doing great raising her. Fame makes and breaks people. I hope it makes all of you. You’re incredible, amazing voice and you are genuinely sweet. I do not think this song should be covered though. It is so personal and specific to Demi that hearing it from somebody else who is so young and probably has not gone through such things is not authentic. I love what you are doing, I just do not think this song was a good choice. Unlike other songs, this one is exclusively Demi’s most personal and cannot be transfered to anyone else. And that’s, I think, important for covers, that you can relate to them on several levels.
Veviiii1 many people can understand demis emotions through this song. even though many haven’t been through what demi has, we can still relate on different levels. i dont think that allie personally feels it because it doesn’t seem as raw as when demi sings it, but a lot of people can relate and feel demis emotion theough the lyrics of this song, even if it IS personal
rebecca danielle I see and agree with you. It's probably just me because I perceive it more as a secret plea and confession than a song, for me it just happens to have a melody so I ascribe it to Demi only and cannot come to terms with covers of other people. But I get what you are saying:)
Madeline Grace yes, I get what you are saying. For me it would make sense to introduce the song with a few words about why she does the cover, what the purpose is. I'm a huge supporter of covers, it's a great thing and sometimes it's even better than the actual version, I just do think this song is not a regular song for cover versions since I do not perceive it as a song. But as I said, that's my problem and not Allie's, I see why she did it :)
