Demis Roussos had a fantastic voice , I remember the song Forever and Ever back in the 70s . He'll be sadly missed. He sang such beautiful songs , I love this song I'll Find My Way Home . Xxxxx ❤️
This is a rather fabulous rendition of the original classic by Jon Anderson and Vangelis, and hearing it for the very first time just now. There is a magical connection as Demi Roussos and Vangelis were both in Aprhodites Child.
Very interesting. First heard this song as a teenager while visiting Bonn, Germany in 1982 on British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS) radio station. Fond memories, and goosebumps are in order!😊
I only came here out of curiosity because RU-vid brought up the link when I listened to the original work ... but I am really amazed how well this rendition turned out. Well ... what more would you expect from such a talent! It was lovely to listen to Demi's voice again.
I had a friend in college who had lived in Italy in the late 1960s. He played the 666 album by Aphrodite’s Child. I was blown away by both Vangelis and Demis Roussos and actually found a copy of 666 in a record shop in Seattle. I also found a German language records by Roussos and a couple others. Jon Anderson of wrote the lyrics for the song. It’s nice to hear Roussous’ performance.
Lyrics: You ask me where to begin Am I so lost in my sin You ask me where did I fall I'll say I can't tell you when But if my spirit is lost How will I find what is near Don't question I'm not alone Somehow I'll find my way home My sun shall rise in the east So shall my heart be at peace And if you're asking me when I'll say it starts at the end You know your will to be free Is matched with love secretly And talk will alter your prayer Somehow you'll find you are there Your friend is close by your side And speaks in far ancient tongue A season's wish will come true All seasons begin with you One world -- we all come from One world -- we melt into one Just hold my hand and we're there Somehow we're going somewhere Somehow we're going somewhere [Instrumental Interlude] You ask me where to begin Am I so lost in my sin You ask me where did I fall I'll say I can't tell you when But if my spirit is strong I know it can't be long No questions I'm not alone Sometime I'll find my way home Somehow I'll find my way home Somehow I'll find my way home Somehow I'll find my way home.
I can not stop listning and looking on this remarkable person. I minns seeing him live and AI will never forget his charisma. Never his songs and performarens. I simply adore him and Now will he always be in my heart after The sad end of this Journey to heaven. The Angeles will sing welcome. And no tears there. But everything is Love. Sagapo Demis🌹🕊️

Demis Roussos died in 2015. He was a good guy. I feel he never got the recognition his beautiful voice deserved. A friend and co-member of Afrodite's Child with Yannis (Papathanassiou)
