Thanks for the review JB! It's very cool how members of the community were willing to lend you their knives so you could do this overview. These are definitely big knives that are not for everyone. I have an AD-10, an AD-15 and a 4 Max Scout. I think all are very capable knives that I like as users, but I don't carry them often. They tend to be some of the first knives I grab when I need to do a lot of cutting around the house, but I rarely leave the house with them in my pocket. I might actually start carrying them more often now that I live in the country, where most people carry knives and I don't have to worry about freaking anyone out by carrying a knife larger than a Bugout. lol

I’d love to have the Cold Steel ad 10! Though due to the legality of the issue at hand ..with how knives are ruled with an iron fist and all I unfortunately won’t anytime soon. I travel from time to time not for business but for personal reasons, my future Wife lives in Mexico so between crossing ‘n’ all I’d rather avoid losing something that was too big to conceal. Knives are for the most part illegal in her Country yet I refuse not having a knife. Even in my area in the states I am supposed to keep the blade length under 3.5 and I usually do mostly depending where about I’m. Do excuse me for such a rant from a stranger but these kinds of things are a bit of a stir up with some folks so it’s better not to mention or talk about it especially in the youtube land as many people have conflicting opinions to put it lightly. However these kinds of things interest me knowing how it’s going with others and well I’m envious you living in the country where as I am pretty much having to stick it out with the city living for a while longer. I do want to end up moving with my lady and Son to the country side in the future here in the states but with so much going on especially with the pandemic I am focusing more on a career change for the better. May everything for you and yours be well. Feel free to mention your knife laws or anything. I am getting a bit carried away with this whole interaction thing in the comment section so my fingers will now find the send comment button! 😂 Joyous blessings to you and yours!!! ☯️

@@gregorywilson3318 I live in Ohio, and most of our current knife laws just restrict carrying fixed blades and double edged knives. The cities of Cleveland, Columbus and some of their suburbs are the only places in the state with size restrictions. Thankfully, we recently had the restrictions against carrying automatics lifted. That said, I try to be considerate of the people I'm around and the setting I'll be in when deciding what to carry. I'm not going to take a 4 Max Scout or AD10 to the office, while I'm happy to carry them if I'm going to be trekking through the forest. I also usually carry something small like a We Banter as a back up knife, in case I need to use a knife around people that look like they might be a little uneasy about seeing me whip out a full-sized knife.

Beautiful knives, a big thanks to all those who let us get a look at these awesome knives. The AD20 is definately one of my grail knives in 3v. The AD15 is one that I could take or leave but for the money your not gonna find a better knife than the AD10. The AD20.5 is definately an up and comer but many are wary of the price. I think it's a great knife and is on my list to get sometime in the future. Keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable.

So awesome to see all 4 together. I hope to ad a 10 to my collection soon. The scorpion lock does take some getting used to for sure. I spent about 2 weeks getting the hang of it. I had the same problem in the beginning with the 2 fingers wanting to get in the way of the blade. In time my muscle memory puts them on the clip without thinking about it. The jimping on my 20.5 is a bit on the aggressive side as well. You're welcome for the loan glad I could help. When you put out the idea for comparing the 4 models I was like yep got to make that happen lol. Great video JB 👍 and thanks for the shout out!

I have to say I like big knives they fit my hand the best. The AD10 is awesome. The AD15 I really like but don't look at it as a beast that the 10 is. I don't see myself getting the 20 unless they come way down in price or find an amazing deal on secondary market. I hope to get both versions of the 20.5 eventually. What a great set of knives. People talk about the Tribeca well this is the quad of knives. Great video. Thanks to all that made it possible.

The AD10 fits me great...I just don't want to lug it around....lol! Not really digging the Scorpion lock, the 20 is just too expensive, so it comes down to the 20.5!! Thanks for watching Rick!!

This was a dream review JB. I really liked it to see those 4 compared. I'm not shure on the AD15 but the other ones yeah they speak to me. Oh just buy me an AD20.5 and i will tell you if the jimping is sharp LOL. Thank you for the review friend it really was nice to see those Demko's compared.

I have an AD15. I probably like it a little better than JB, but it will eat up your pockets. The scales are super grippy and the clip is tight.

I own a shark foot and a clip .20.5 and had to file the shark lock jimping a little bit on my sharkfoot 20.5. Much better now although I did not notice it right away until I kept flipping it repeatedly and it started to get at my finger a little. (right handed). I also own an ad15 and while its cool it doesn’t get carried alot. A little too much to edc daily imo. Id like To try the full size ad20.

Out of the four, I like the AD 10, not that I would ever buy it as I don't have a use for something that big nowadays. As you say it would make a good backpack/bugout knife, I like the materials, the blade shape and if you are gonna have a big knife it might as well look good. The scorpion and shark locks look less than secure to me, I get the feeling they could be tripped in use, any lock that is right under your gripping fingers has that chance.

I can assure you the Scorpion lock on the AD15 is very solid, especially when you grip up on it. There's already solid tension on the lock by default, but your hand adds to the lock up and makes it very safe to use. That said, there is definitely a learning curve to that lock. I got one of my worst cuts ever the first day I had my AD15 while getting the hang of it. You have more of a chance cutting yourself while unlocking the knife than having it become disengaged while using it.

The AD10 would be perfect for that Chris! I dont have any issues with the security issues of those locks! As Andrew said, the Scorpion lock is actually very secure in how you use the knife. I just didnt care for the use of it! Thanks for watching!

I have the 20.5 and the lock does seem a bit sharp, but it's still a great knife. If I could afford it, I would buy an AD 20, but I can't see myself springing for that anytime soon. Great overview of 4 knives. Thanks.

As nice as they are, I personally don't feel a need for any of them in my life. I have a Cold Steel Recon 1, and as strong as it is, it's just not something I carry every day. Even when I worked in a factory, I found myself swapping out my CS for a Rat 1 or 2, or the Cutjack.

I’d like to know how the Scorpion lock feels. Whether or not it falls under the category of the love it or hate it ..probably some where in between. I am usually decent with my hand cordination (not calling you out for you saying yours might be at fault). I am sure the Scorpion and Shark lock take a moment getting used to. The ad 10 from Cold Steel gets my attention though I wouldn’t be legally allowed to carry that beast of an awesome knife! Great review. I was looking forward to this from you since you mentioned in in two channel chats ago with the “psychic.” 😂. When you first hinted that the 20.5 is more favorable in hand for you. ..it’s how I knew the answer in the SKL when you asked what we thought you liked better. Damn I love larger knives but of course the law is against me in most ases and when I travel to my Lady’s Country I always make sure I have something smaller and slim. Perhaps if I was a big boy I could get away with concealing a larger folder but nope. My method works though and is readily available for my edc needs. Hopefully Doug will get the law maker’s heads out of their rear ends. As for where my lady lives well with a bit of time I do hope to have her move up here with me in a few years. I may give some information that perhaps I should not yet I am good and besides I prefer sharing in the slight chance someone sees my comments and might share how things are for them. .. Oh, the things some of us do for our passion for Knives!!! ☯️

Yes...both lock do take some getting used to without a doubt. For me, the scorpion lock more so than the shark lock! Yes...the 20.5 was pretty much the easy pick as far as an EDC knife but the 20 wasnt that far behind even for its size!! The AD10 is amazingly comfortable in hand but just too much to carry around! There definitely are some knife laws out there that need to change!! Thank you very much for watching and commenting Greg!

@@BigRedEDC Though society can seem worse at times I do believe so many are wanting growth and movement in a direction that is beneficial for all as a whole ..for the most part with the variables that set us apart in a unique way. We could certainly get with the program of at least considering others instead of placing ourselves always (sometimes we do need to put ourselves and our families before others) at the forefront. I will not go into all the gritty controversial gory details but I do worry at times about our rights and how the future will be for us now and our kids after us and etc. Do excuse me for the rant I watched the movie (I am horrible with remembering titles but I’ll find it again later) last night with my lady. The movie about the guy running for Mayor (trying not to give anything away just in case) with Steve Carrell from the office (U.S. version). I reply like this to share a glimpse of my mind, not at anytime is anyone obligated to respond but it is enjoyable for me when people do. So, thanx for being so damn cool with such a gun slinger of a ranter. Us red haired folk typically have strong personalities. Though I am a bit quieter in person with most I fully take advantage of being online to be myself in all the glory of being simply me (the other side I rarely get to express). Thanx JB!!! ☯️
