Hi Sir, small doubts: 1.if i change password file in primary side, will it reflect for standby by password as well? 2.what is the difference between 11g awr report and 12c awr report?

1. If you want to change the SYS password, then you need to do it as follows. Stop Log Shipping... Change SYS password in Primary... Copy the new Pwdfile to the standby db. Verify you are able to login to the standby db,Start log shipping... Thats the crux of the process... Hope it helped to understand.. 2. There is more information in 12c AWR... I will explain about that in future videos in the Database Performance playlist... Do watch the playlist to know the basics of AWR...ru-vid.com/group/PL3Hc8S1SG2AQBne3XvISEIn3x0NqUBND_

Why the block_size of control file is always 16k? How os block size came into the picture... I read it about but didn't understand

You dont have a control on the size of the controlfile block size is my understanding. Also any file will have its blocksize as a multiple of the O/S bock size, thus the relationship...

Hi Sir, small doubt. I have three ASM disk in one single disk group. The disk in normal redundancy and each disk have 1024 GB size. How much data can we insert in disk group ?
@RamkumarSwaminathan
@RamkumarSwaminathan 6 лет назад
To fill the disk group you can go a little less than.. (3*1024)/2=3072/2=1536 GB. But there will be overhead. But to ensure you have sufficient space to take care of faults... you should keep much less space. You can monitor that by looking into V$ASM_DISKGROUP...there is a column REQUIRED_MIRROR_FREE_MB... Hope this helps...
