when you're demo-ing, you want to give the audience the chance to kind of follow along, and this takes more time than just copy-pasting.

Yeah it’s just a more natural flow, plus with a 2nd monitor you don’t show the notepad so it’s not obvious you’re copy pasting.

You can source the demo script from either the clipboard (as seen here) or a file. Only when using the clipboard do you need to place the [start] keyword at the beginning of your script. When using a file you do not need the script open in Notepad and visible to the audience. You can also split the script into segments using the [end] keyword. For example: "int A() {}[end]struct B {}[end]..." This way when you press the DemoType shortcut (default Ctrl+7) it will send only "int A() {}" to the target window. At a later point in your demo, press the shortcut again and it will send "struct B {}" and again wait until further prompt. You can abort an active send by hitting Escape and step back to a previous segment by pressing Shift+Ctrl+7. Beyond this, there are many other control keywords you can place throughout your script such as [paste], [pause:n], [up], [down], [left], [right]. There is also a user-driven mode that allows keystrokes sent to the target window to be triggered by random physical keystrokes.
