Anthony of Bill's Equipment & Supply demonstrates how to load and secure a mini skid steer to an equipment trailer for safe transport:
1. Make sure binders are inside trailer
2. Pull out trailer pin
3. Push down trailer front
4. Load equipment, centered over axles
5. Position bucket as flat and low as possible
6. Reconnect trailer pin
7. Chain equipment in back
8. Tighten with binder
9. Chain/tighten in front
10. Check everything

Hello, my name is Anthony, I work with bill’s Equipment and Supply. Today I'm gonna show you guys how to properly load and unload a piece of equipment. First, you want to make sure that your binders inside the trailer not hanging over. You could cause damage to the binder by bending this, breaking it, and then you'll have a problem chaining up your equipment. The first thing you're gonna want to do is you're gonna want to pull your little cotter pin pull your trailer pin out. Set these in there, then you’ll walk to the front of your trailer.
Push it down, make sure it's down if it does come up a little bit you’ll be okay because you will have your machine backed up here so you can just back it up.
Once you get your machine lined up right in the middle as best as possible, you're going to have a proper way of getting it right in the middle lined up to where your even over the trailer axles. And I'm going to demonstrate that for you right now.
Once you get to this position you want to make sure that you have your bucket flat on the trailer. That every it is level, touching the ground. You don't want it to tilt it up you wanted to flat as possible. So, once you get your machine on the trailer, get it shut off, everything's down. You're gonna come back and grab your trailer pin again. You’re gonna reconnect the pin, put your little cotter pin in, so you know if this thing rolls it's not gonna flop down on you. Now we are going to chain down the machine. In this case, we are gonna make an X specifically for this machine so there is no excess chain loose and it is secure and proper way to chain it down.
So, I think I’m going to throw it through the little lip under there to the other side then pull your chain tight. Use the binder; There. Once you get your chain hooked to your binder, flip your uh binder knob down so that it’s in the tighten position - back and forth - as can you see - we tighten it up, it’s good and tight and then we move on to the front. So now we're at the front of the machine. You have two tie-down points on the bucket.
You can either put your chain through the bucket holes, or you can put it through the ring in the back of your bob attachment. So, I'm gonna go ahead and chain this to bob attachment. Same scenario as the back. Pull my chain through. Tight. Grab your chain and your binder, then you just start tightening it down. What's going to happen when you're tightening on the front, it's going to be pulling the machine forward and it's going to be tightening the back even more. So, when get to this point, grab the chain make sure it's tight that it's not loose. Same for the back of the machine. Nice and tight. Make sure your pin is in and you're ready to go.
