Ryan McAllister is a singer-songwriter and producer at Five Acres Studios in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Today, we brought our coworker, Jenn Krahn, to his studio with a demo. Ryan showed us how a producer creates a single in a day.

This video is a real feast for the eyes and ears! Amidst all the items showcased, it was the Wurlitzer that captured my heart. Its classic look combine with beautiful scenes of countryside, created an instant image. Where rhytm of nature plays its own music, and chickens roam freely - a symphony of simplicity. I think this statement not only describes the connection between the instrument and the nature in my head, but also accurately describes the beauty that was created during the making of this video. Thank you!

that microphone definitely lent a vintage sound to the vocals, lots of goodies all around. I'd love to just have that much space with that vibe. I'd take that UA compressor or the DBX. I like these types of videos, how cool it would be to hang out at Five Acres Studio for a week with Ryan.

This is a great example of what a producer adds to a song. You picked up the heart of the composition and the vibe and emotion of the performance and married it perfectly to the arrangement and instrumentation.

I have never had a song move me to tears like this one did. I don't know what to think. I mean, I love it but that has never happened to me. I am not just saying that. Half way through the finished song, I blinked and a couple tears ran down my face. That is so... I dunno. Thanks for sharing this. I'm gonna go put on some Slipknot for a minute. :)

I want to say I want his brain if that counts as equipment because the sound from brushing the pants and the creaky piano pedal sounded great! What a cool idea and produced so well. But if I can’t have his brain would love that condenser mic he was using or else I would love the Yamaha (I think) studio monitors

Hey Ron, Ryan, Jenn and the Musora team! I loved this video and all the songwriting/ producing content! Ryan and Jenn both have so much talent! And what a beautiful song! My favorite piece of gear in Ryan’s studio is the Gretsch Tennessee Rose guitar. It's the guitar second from the right and it's a stunner! I love the dark cherry stain and white pickguard, it's really beautiful.

Lovely, soothing video n final song! Da whole thing felt very real, everyone was beign who they really r n da process went on smoothly. Loved it when Ryan recorded "da beauty of limitation", they were open 2 experiment n trust intuition. Maybe independent artists could use more often than not a "prompt" instead of wanderlusting freely on da million possibilities that da initial idea/silence poses. In this case da sinergy is so evident. Really diging this series, thanx Musora!!!

Mine is in my back porch 😅 Fortunately you can get extremely nice pianos free this way! People don’t have room and they will literally give you a thousand plus dollar piano for free.

For this weeks giveaway If I am going to choose anything to have on my wish list, I mean it would have to be the Wurlitzer piano, that sound is so sweet. I am guessing I have no chance of ever getting anything like that but a girl can dream right :) Brilliant video!
