Moderator stopping free speech by Jeffrey Sachs at an event talking about democracy, anyone sees the irony of this? Have to say that Jeffrey Sachs has been dropping bigger and bigger truth bombs lately. Kudos to him!
Not really, since democracy and free speech are not the same thing. A democracy can outlaw free speech, or in the case of Western 'democracies', weaponize free speech so that ONLY the speech of the elites is protected ... for example, the American First Amendment is a piece of paper, created by elites, administered by elites, protected by elites, enforced by elites, judged by elites, to protect elites ... ordinary people can have their free speech violated on a whim by elites, and if they are really really lucky they might in 10 years, after all the damage has been done, be told "yeah, I guess you were right, we did violate your 1A rights ... oh well, too late now, better luck next time."!
The concept of democracy genuinely would only work when you have a very large middle class society which is very well informed, rational and also highly politically and economically intelligent and aware. It's a society where the media does not spin narratives or manufacture consent, it's a society that has raw, true information displayed to them for them to make up their minds, granted that they have the ability to think logically for what's best for the individual and also society as a whole. Sadly, None of these things exist in any country in the world to this day. Prime example of why, just look at the media. They are not displays of truth, or reality, they are manufacturers of an alternate reality, so how can America call itself a democracy when the most fundamental basis of a democracy, the truthful information and well-informed population, does not exist? Perhaps it is true, efficient and highly functional democracy is only achievable in mankind's dreams.......
But US society is not White dominated, it is jewish dominated. The US is the muscle of the anglozionist empire. So truth bombs of very limited explosive power...
The existence of this forum, the guests including dr Sachs, the young people in the audience who appear to unanimously support dr Sachs. this too is an example
@Meme Memeson I would suggest you refer to: Reports on China with Andy Boreham on RU-vid. Andy presented the full video clip showing 80-year-old former General Secretary Hu Jintao requiring assistance to his seat. President Xi had to remind him when to sit down, to me he appeared to be disorientated and was eventually assisted to leave the conference. The Western media will doubtless present its usual distortion of the facts regarding anything about China and the Chinese Leadership.
I live in the west and see China as far more democratic and definitely more meritocratic than the west. We have the illusion of democracy when we only get the option of a few preselected candidates.
They know it's a bunch of bs but that's how they get to galvanize their brainless plebs. I don't even know why people buy into that garbage, we know the US gets rid of democratic governments and replace them with autocrats to support their policies. We know the US supports autocratic governments that support their policies so I don't even know why intellectuals have to address the question like it is some real question in any way.
Exactly. Voting for a new 70+ y/o war criminal in these “liberal democracies “ is the biggest scam ever sold and these westerns think other parts of the world their country has instructed them to hate is ‘propagandised’
Voting is good when the guys with ballots fully understand the issues and are qualified to cast a vote with lots of knowledge and experience. The perfect example would be the US supreme court or the Chinese politburo. Voting is not good when the guys with ballots are general public who are neither sophisticated nor educated enough to understand the issues at hand. The perfect example is the Brexit.

It was a bit weird but I don't think he was terrified, I'm sure he, and the audience, were pretty familiar with what Sachs talks about. It's not as if he's some fringe radical, he's a tenured professor and member of the establishment. I wager he's not about to be thrown in jail for his anti-government views.
@Albert Luo True, it cannot be change by a person who is not strong and charm enough. If refer to a western leader, I will say Julius Caesar. Ironically, US might need a so-call dictator who do the good and right thing.
Don't forget he was also the architect of Russia's neoliberal shock therapy in which he destroyed the Russian economy, created a rich oligarchy, massive poverty, decreased life expectancy, and a lot of suffering in Russia. All to benefit the US and world Plutocracy to steal Russia's resources and state companies to privatize them, profit off of them and steal the people's wealth.
@@sleepyjoe4529 Are you really sleepy? I said Daniel doesn't have to speak. He can speak to us through Jeff. Haven't you used quotable quotes to make a point?
Sorry, absolutely not a rare occurrence. His type of voices are silenced by more subtle ways most often. This moderator is atypical moderator, in this regard, for whatever the real reason.
Rare? It is happening every second of the day, most ironically in the so-called democracies in the world. What about YT itself. Is it democratic, free speech?
"Jeffery, stop. It's enough, I am the moderator " in a forum for democracy. That provides a clear explanation of how the current Western democracy is, nothing more and nothing less. - Shawn Hennity

@@jimmytimmy3680 I think that is why he dares to speak out, since he has contributed to US imperialism so he has some privilege. About shock therapy he might have thought it was helping Russians, after all economy is not a science. About Russia, it seemed that the oligarchs took over the wealth, and then luckily Putin took it back from them, so Russia did not lose too much to the west. Is that true?
@@abbotsful idk if I’d say it’s far from the norm tbh, especially now. This comment was from a year ago tbf but in recent weeks the USA has been brutally arresting protestors again, for being against genocide in Palestine.
The professor getting his last few words in before freedom of speech comes crashing down! I've seen him in many videos and he has my utmost respect - a man with morals and not scared of speaking the truth. He also has a few choice words to say about the investigations into the origin of the Covid-19.
He had me until he proceeded to shit on the United States right after talking about some of the most ethnocentric societies in the world. Patriarchal? Yeah like all successful societies are, China and Russia are also patriarchies. Maybe he was correct about american white ethnocentrism? Well he had just mentioned the deeply ethnocentric political movements of Russia and China lmao That part was just so aggravatingly stupid.
Every single time they invite someone that can bring another perspective they ALWAYS fucking interrupt that person because THEY KNOW their message is the god damn truth.. Way to go '' democracy and freedom of speech ''..
If people truly care about Democracy and genuinely want others to be inspired by them they have to lead by example, the notion that the US government is fighting wars and conflicts for Democracy is absolute garbage.
@Albert Luo in theory democracy, feminism, religion, all political and economic ideologies were created for a reason, but in practice it went down the drain, also you read history you would know that the father of democracy said it is a failing system of governance
@@tsuikr Isn't that the joke? A form of democracy that has to be imposed by the tyranny of the US guns and planes, and when the US gets there, they don't even implement their form of democracy. I am afraid human beings have not evolved to a stage that are ready for true democracy, just as they are not ready for true communism.
Who can be more right than Jeffrey. We all here on this planet for a good reason! No body is better than anybody. We are only here for a very short journey and who knows where we are going to be next. One thing we know for sure is like what Jeffrey said " we all need to communicate, shake hands and solving world problems together." This is human civilization. Too many politicians are walking backwards.
Wow Jeffrey, you are definitely done, you have nailed the confusing web deliberated by the Western narrative onto a simple line ;The problem is not between democracy and autocracy, the problem is how to work together for a better world.
Absolutely totally wrong. problem is, how to get rid of mafia who pays for huge military forces out of thin air- fiat debt? which later destroys the living of next generations + war nightmare in some unlucky countries?
I’m almost in tears on his last statement, well said Jeff thank you for looking at politics from a culture perspective! Someone like this should be the president of unities states but we all know the big corporations will never let that happen.
The military industrial complexes will never let a pacifist and peace loving person be a president ever. Their whole business model is sustained by endless wars after all.
Such an insights elaboration by professor Jeffry Sachs, well done, sir! Hopefully, the politics elites of the world, especially, the the US much arrogance and suppressive attitude ones, got the time to watch the forums attended/ delivered by Professor Jeffry.👍✌️😊
Jeffrey Sachs is the leading voice for sanity and glad he got his say. What a legend 👏 and I thought Bernie and the squad was going to be that voice in the Democrats and what a lie they turned out to be!
Good to see you back Daniel, we missed you and hope to see more of your videos. Your voice is important to counter the western narratives. Thanks for get back on youtube.👏
After Prof. Sachs's remarks, the next fantastic thing was to see the joyous 😂 response from the young people. For all his brilliance & experience, he has alot of comon sense & compassion. PLEASE LIKE & SHARE!!!!
I'm so in awe of Prof Jeffrey Sachs. I wouldn't mind if he ruled the World. What I'm looking for is not democracy or autocracy But Wisdom n Compassion!
We people of the world are owe you a lot Professor Jeffrey, for keeping the truth higher than many false news and narratives, God bless you always Professor
I love this man!💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗He is truly a man of peace. As much as there are cultural diversities, there are as many different ways of organizing societies. No model of society can claim to be the true one and correspond to all of humanity, which is nevertheless so diverse. Thanks a lot.
DANIEL !!!!! good to see you! I really like Mr Sachs, he gets it!!! He's the only one saying that different cultures DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY! There is NO 'one size fits all' type of political system. He also is the ONLY one calling usa what IT IS! Racist supremacists from their beginning!
I have watched this. I have watched Prof Jeffrey Sachs spoke many a times. He is a shining light in this dark world. He should be made Head Economist for the world. A man of integrity and substance. My utmost respect to Prof Jeffrey Sachs!
Imagine what a different world we could live in if someone like Jeffrey Sachs was in a leading position. What a different world view. What a great world it could be ... we would work with one another ... and help our children move forward.
Thanks Daniel. Jeffrey Sachs is always spot on. Having an open mind and communications with others does not necessary mean that one has to agree with everything what the others say, but more on finding/exploring common grounds, goals, opportunities and learning from other to create common mutual respect leading to harmony, progress and prosperity for all. There is a saying in my country (not China) that the frog living under the coconut shell, thinks he is the king of the universe without realizing that his universe is limited ONLY to the size of the coconut shell. Cheers.
