People throw around the term “insurrectionist” so often that its really lost its meaning. In fact, every time I hear the left call someone an insurrectionist, I am automatically more inclined to support that person.

YES! I know there are some things that neither side of the aisle will compromise on, but that should be a minority of the issues that they could be tackling - NOT the majority! There is so much we could be coming together on - that border agreement was a great example of that! Both sides of the Senate were in agreement but the extremists in the House ruined the whole thing. I must admit that he gave a very positive and unifying speech. He really knows how to talk. However, his record does not reflect the moderate image he’s trying to portray. This guy literally voted with Biden 100% of the time while he was in congress.
Biden is a moderate leaning slightly left man. Always has been. GOP has just gone so far right he looks like a socialist. You need a healthy reminder that both parties used to be relatively aligned on the political spectrum.

As I listened to Speaker Mike Johnson swear in Tom Suozzi, I was reminded that I am called by God to honor and pray for our leaders. Our country is teetering on the precipice of disaster with the partisanship and anger being proudly exhibited in government. Petty vengeance and paranoia are usurping common decency and sense. We must take a step back and remember that a house divided among itself will not stand. Which party is speaking about cooperation and collaboration? Which is promoting fear and indulging in anger? Which is committed to democracy verses autocracy? We must choose wisely this election year, or else this great democratic experiment may cease to exist.
Mr. Tom Suozzi Keep the good Lord for you and at home, politics and religion have never worked well together and the proof is that since humanity has tried to do so, wars, conflicts, divisions, enmities are continued, you started your speech well, why have you ruined it. One day we will have to evolve, and learn from our mistakes.
