Two border congressmen from Texas are among 14 democrats who supported a House resolution this week denouncing what they call President Biden's lax border security.
It's an election year and congress has another one for their seats coming up kinda soon...there's gonna be a lot of flip-flopping for voter potential in both cases.
Imagine fighting a war for 20 years to defend the Country, then the government pulls the rug out from under you, stabs you in the back, then opens up the country making it vulnerable to another 9/11.

Texas is not defying anything. The people of Texas have the right to defend the sovereignty of the Texas southern border with Mexico. Texas has the god given right to it's border sovereignty.

That is not enough! People who wish to legally immigrate here must go through the process from their own countries…not show up falsely claiming asylum status….these people are not asylum seekers (they have not been forcibly displaced), the are coming here for monitory reasons…and have no right to entry!
If they are really seeking asylum, they should follow the rules and apply for it first, in the first safe country they are in. Mexico is safe enough to be a major tourist destination for Americans, with thousands of Americans living there full or part time as well in retirement.

No one was ever saying that it was going to be. Trump had stricter policies and security in regard to the southern border. This wasn’t happening under Trump, again go look at the data and you will see for yourself that the border has become much worse under Biden’s presidency due to his lax policies and security at the border. RFK Jr went to the border and talked to many of the new arrivals and most of them said they are “here for a better life” and just a few had legitimate asylum claims. The Administration knows this but hands out Debit Cards and bus/plane tickets to anyone and everyone that surrenders to Border Patrol.

It isn't a right versus left issue. It's common sense that we can't take in this many people at once. Do I wish we could just help everyone? Sure. But unless you're a child you know sometimes you have to make difficult choices in life and sometimes there is no answer where EVERYONE wins. It is what it is. Secure the borders, expand the legal immigration process so it doesn't take YEARS, and start taking care of the problems we already have. For instance, there an epidemic of drugs and homelessness. That's kind of a problem.
