Been a follower of Dirt perfect for a while now you don’t really realize how big the 210 really is until you see it sitting in a basement ripping down 12” walls and flicking the pieces them like pebbles. Then being trucked out single lane private bike paths/ roads. Well done guys well done.
That 210 is one powerful machine!! Awesome job on getting in and out because those streets are unbelievably narrow!! Thank you for bringing us along on your journey Mike!!!!
Mike, you've got some awesome driving skills there, dude. Nice to know people aren't afraid to call on a friend/competitor/colleague to help get them out of a bind. I'm sorry for the family that was moving in, but I can't help thinking they were going to have other problems with that house given how little rebar was in that concrete. Hope the ribs are healing up well from the bus incident.
Hey Mike. I drove 18 Wheeler's over the road for nearly 35 years and one thing that I found that helps with side windows and mirrors in the rain is believe it or not...Rainx. Didnt work for crap on the windshield but works wonders on the side windows and mirrors. Even in the heaviest of rains (or snow for that matter), it keeps the mirrors clear. I put Rainx on all windows (except windshields) and mirrors on every vehicle I own twice a year and it really is amazing. I know this sounds like an ad, but it really does help.
Mr. Michael, my dad used to say (as he threaded his truck & towed grain elevator) that sometimes it just came down to how accurate you positioned your tongue and how firmly your butt was clamped as to if you were going to get in and out without needing a tow truck or leaving your truck until Spring! Masterful job!
Mighty fine driving Mike! Getting back out was going to be fun, then the rain took all the fun out of it! It’s really nice to be known around town as the guy that can get it done.
It's an absolute shame to see a new home burn, but at least the family wasn't in it when it did. Great video and it's great to see a good working relationship between contractors and competitors. Thanks Mike, Matt & Aaron! Lee PS: The 210 sure has some brute strength.
@@young11984 Yes I'm perfectly able to read thank you........I can also work out when someone is making a joke too...oddly enough,...or has that been outlawed alongside free speech now ?
A job, very well done. Thirty eight year veteran of the highway, the last thirteen in construction with a major crane company. All I can say is, WOW! Would we expect anything less from an owner/ operator? That, my friend, was a test, and then the rain. When we make it to Derby, I will by you a Pepsi. Keep the video's coming.
What a piece of driving Mike that was awesome that road wasn't much bigger than a golf cart road ,One contractor helping another contractor that's a good thing and Props to mike for doing it
It is just awesome to watch experienced semi drivers such as yourself maneuver their semis into tight spots, especially moving backwards - just plain amazing!!!!!
Awesome job getting that machine in and out, Mike!! I can't even back my little Saab up into my driveway in one try, never mind on a narrow road.......Amazing!! Thanks to Man behind the Scenes for his help!!
WOW! Mike, the drive there was one thing, and then driving backwards the last half of the way but OMG, the drive out of there, driving blind, God bless you. So glad Aaron was there to guide you and be your eyes in all that rain, and you made it!. Priceless! WTG!!!
What a splendid job my grandson who is seven years of sitting in my lap watching this whole show with you and he just loved it he absolutely loved it he says I’m gonna get me one of those one day and I’m gonna do with that man does thanks a lot guys great job also he was amazed how good you back the truck up all the way down those roads have a good one goodbye
Mike, I know how the house went up. When Kleemen broke the mirror on the C85 down the road, a tiny piece of glass broke off and fell to ground. The sun and the angle of the glass over the years, burned a hole in the house, causing the fire. Years later, we can still blame Captain. What a crazy sequence of events. Boy the was a lot of small roads to get to the job.
Nice driving Mike. A practice I picked up here in the PNW driving truck was to carry a squeegee in the truck to wipe the windows and mirror down for those moments when rain and mud won't let me use my mirrors or windows. Still do in my F350 dually. Best $5 piece of equipment I have ever purchased. Keep on in every vehicle now. Thanks for sharing.
Mike, thanks you for the view backing the trailer into the site. I am always interested to watch how suspension systems handle the task. That walking beam system you run is sure a fun to watch when it flexes.
It’s like building a sailboat in your basement. The site was wide open during the development stage but once the improvements were in place, they paved the final roads just wide enough for 2 cars to get by each other and made intersections with the minimum allowable radius. 🥸👍✅
A shuck they're nothing, I live in the UK and used to drive 40' sometimes 50' articulated lorries around country roads of Devon, Cornwall, Hampshire and Somerset. Am sure there are plenty of U-tube films out there showing just how borrow they are. But saying that Mike did do extremely well, reversing on the blind side is difficult if you don't do it all the time. 🇬🇧🤗👍
Volunteer fireman for almost 8yrs, 4yrs in arson investigation, but never had the opportunity to see one demoed before. I still remember the smells/odors.
Just love those time lapses! Kudos to competitors who can work together when push comes to shove (no pun intended! lol) by having each other's backs. Well done.
Always nice to go and help out a slightly overwelmed friend on a rainy day. You guys got lucky they got cheap on the rebar. Maybe a code inspector got a little loaded handshake 😊 That must have been one heck of a fire. I'm sure the local FD wasn't happy trying to get their trucks up those goat paths. My Dad drove Engine 7 for the city of Flint Michigan and they made communities like that build rebared curbed standard wide streets for just that reason county wide in hilly curved areas. Especially if your in the snow belt. Imagine trying to get a top heavy fire truck in there on those "streets" with them covered in ice and snow. They came up with that after a few firetrucks ended up on their sides on streets exactly like those. Happened to my Dad in the early 60's.
Good job Mike Aaron and Matt, thanks for sharing Dirt Perfect! Kirk from Louisiana and I’m always praying for y’all and your families my friends! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I tell you what I delivered modular homes for several years. We put them 80 ft homes in places you wouldn't even think they could fit. So with that being said you did one hell of a job. We had to plank corners with 6xs, cut trees out, remove signs, you name it. But without a doubt you have some very fine skills my friend. Great video and have a blessed day
30 years of truck driving and know hanging a left like that will put hair on your chest. Low-boy work in Oregon makes me appreciate what you just did. Next I unload and reload b-4 another one of those. A tire pops and you're done, like upside down. Nice work...😎😎
Wow, talk about tight spaces in her places! Excellent job on this one DP the backing in and driving out was probably more stressful and harder than the job itself but as usual another job done dirt perfect
Wow Mike! Backing is a grossly underappreciated skill and you backed that Big Dog like it was a straight road. You musta been driving for more than a weekend!!! Very nice.
As an Ex-army truck driver from the UK my hat is off to you the best trailer reversing I ever saw was the show men in the old articulated truck reversing competition for worlds best he was unbelievably the world champion articulated truck driver, you just reminded me how really hard it is to reverse big equipment, and then to have to do it for distance, easy to see how your channel is named, that was perfect, well done Mike and Aaron, good job done all around.
That was a tight squeeze getting in and out of that job. It’s a shame that those people lost their house to a fire before they could even move in but it was a blessing that they only had a few of their items in the house.
As a semi driver. you did an awesome job of getting into that tight place with your truck. Backing out in that rain is tough. Been there done that. Thank God you had Aaron for a second pair of eyes.
I remember this post from Facebook awhile back when you said you had to go help Matt of MR with this job. Nice video as always. Never know the fun and interesting stuff you’ll get into. 😂
I thought I was good at backing up a semi but your the king . I used to have to bend and twist my truck into some very tight places in factories and other such places but you got me beat good job keeping the shiny side up even in the rain .
You've got to try rain x on all you windshield\side glass, and mirrors... I'm not affiliated with them but it works good(for a little while) . Harder it rains the better you can see, and without wipers even. Cool wind patterns too. Just make sure glass is real clean B4 application, and do several coats. I've had good luck using on helmet shields and glasses worn in rain as well. Good luck...
Watching those front trailer tires scrub on that tight turn in the subdivision made me think back to a job I had where we ran a 6 axle trailer and the front 3 axles would scrub so hard on 1 particular turn we would destroy the tires after 2 runs. When you do upto 3 runs a day it adds up quickly. One of those expenses that have to be accounted for that most customers don't think of. Thanks for bringing us along.
Hope Matt gets to build them a nice house to replace the one they lost. Nice to once again see the location where a legend was born. Long live Captain Kleeman patron saint of mirror repair shops everywhere.
Wowww, That was one well poured basement, all it lacked was a little more rebar and it would have been a good survival shelter. The insurance company was right that burn smell will never give up, it will follow the concrete and any dirt that leaves the site. Good job with the 210 Mike it earned it's pay on those walls. Dam good driving getting in and out of there. Keep up the good work Sir.
