Watching your videos is such a bittersweet reminder. I’ve not watched you in so long, only because I used to watch you with my grandfather. He passed July 2021. We loved you, my heart hurts thinking of all your recent videos that he’s not been able to watch, you provided him a sense of adventure when everything was locked down and miserable. Even then, when we wasn’t locked down and his mobility wasn’t great - we could drive around but we couldn’t walk too far, you did the walking for him. Walk on the wild side - we love you. Hello again, yes you were right about the upper front looking crooked, it look crooked to me also on the video, think they will have to take down the whole corner of the Hotel before the whole lot collapses. Look forward to seeing more of your videos, stay safe.

A shame to see any Blackpool landmark disappear off the map but it’s for the best on Health & Safety grounds. Your last daylight report exposed the shocking condition of the building and the risk to the public.

The queens hotel is wheelchair friendly ,the staff are really helpful. We were supposed to be their last week but couldn’t because of lockdown ,we will book again as soon as possible when we can .you cannot go wrong staying there we have been three times and love it . Thanks for the videos love watching them

I was booked into the Ambassador a few years ago , I was booked out from the President. It was a dump, disgusting place then. As a coach driver, you sometimes get put into places like that!

Another sensational video thank you so much for your hard work and tenacity!! Your knowledge is brilliant, really hope you do start on a few Blackpool videos. Perhaps history of North Pier may be a good place to start, I've heard that it was once the most upmarket part of Blackpool, (unsure if that's true?) sadly now it's anything but.....

he wasn't run over by the tram because he actually got across the tram lines and it was the front right corner (looking from forward view but left hand corner drivers view)that actually hit him in the programme, brilliant stunt work though, i wonder how many health and safety officers where present at the time of filming the scene

Great update! . It is people like you, by taking the time to film (not best weather a lot). Then upload videos (like the condition of this hotel still standing), the comments which you receive etc. The council don't want backlash or take risks so have acted faster.

This loss wouldn’t be so sad if the developers replaced this beautiful architecture with something other than square brick prison like characterless blocks of trash. Are there no skilled builders anymore?

Looking forward to the next episode. It should be a ground shaking adventure. 😁

Hi I’m from Belfast in Northern Ireland I Was over in Blackpool for the pigeon Shows in January every year up until About three years ago and always had A great weekend it’s great to watch all You’re videos off the places around Blackpool keep them coming it’s just Like being back there we used to stay In the Cliffs or the Savoy or the Doric It’s sad to see it with not many people In it and it must be hard for the people Not being able to open the shop and Bars they must be losing lots of money

I stayed in the Rutland Hotel once about 10 years ago

If It could fall at any time why isn't it cordened off? That tram that went past looked very close to it.

Stayed there in the 90’s had a great week .we were i one those rooms on the side .it was scorching we were glad we werent facing the sea .the ppl in those rooms were burning up .it was the week when there were heaps of dead ladybirds all over the prom.

Yeah that hotel is in a bad way it will all have to come down i think. Love your videos keep us informed please. Great to hear the jet we go to RAF VALLEY on Anglessey and stay in a cottage right next to the airfield its awesome. Lets hope the illuminations will be back on after Thursday and life can get back to something like normal. Stay safe.

From the video it looks like a full demo of the Ambassador. Partial demolition will be very expensive. Better to level to grade and lay a car park as more profitable in the longer term for the Owner. So sad to see another great hotel disappear from the Blackpool landscape.

It's sad to see such an old hotel in such disrepair. How does a hotel get left to be in such a state ? and I wonder what effect the demolition will have on the neighbouring Rutland Hotel. Could it be a worry or a Godsend ??

....maybe they could just take that dodgy top floor off ....and leave a flat roof ....and make a roof garden there , with a bar , and palm trees etc ...ready for next year's sunny Summer season ?!

The people in the hotel next door could be in for a noisy time.

It's been left far to long and is a shame its come to this it's amazing that they have so much money just to let it sit and not revamp it in the first place would have been cheaper in the long run before it got so badly vandalised

I t really got to have full demolition ,and it’s looking very unsafe and going demolish it self ,if I know that area of North Shore it Takes the full Force of Morecambe Bay, if it gets very stormy ,that’s when the alarm bell will ring at the Town Hall down the road at Talbot Square ,also you got be very careful not to bring the Hotel down next door from Fleetwood Tom

I worked there in my youth! Shame. The George Hotel has gone as has Arnold School. Blackpool is turning into a pensioner town waiting for God.
