Long shot of terraced street with derelict Victorian houses. Man throws board through the windows of a burning house. Rubble all around outside the house. Two men break walls of house with picks. Note: according to paperwork, houses demolished include 10 Rillington Place, home of the infamous murderer Christie.

The renamed Rillington Place, straight after they had finished filming the outdoor scenes for the film.

In 1953 it was renamed Runton Close and Christie's house was demolished. In the 70s the whole area was demolished. All the houses put into gravel. It's not even a street left of Rillington Place. St Andrew's Square and Bartle Road runs over the area.

@@rickyiglesias5384 I did this sort of thing on 2 or 3 houses back in the 80 so obviously not on the scale these blokes did it.Using a jack hammer on some reinforced concrete stairs was definitely not H&S compliant...haha.

They renamed Rillington Place to Runton Close after Christie was convicted. But nobody wanted to live there and people flocked to be photographed outside nr 10. So in 1970 they demolished that row. Nobody wanted to live there! I don't think that would have changed. The houses would still be worthless if they would have left them as they were. Nobody knows how many more bodies and skeleton parts that was hidden there!

@@sophiegrant677 Well, all papers show it was renamed Runton Close in 1953 and they demolished just Christie's house. But there is a street called Ruston Mews not far away. Some people even claims that Ruston mews was Rillington Place but that's also wrong. In the 70s they demolished all houses and St Andrew's Square and Bartle Road covers the area where Rillington Place used to be. Many people on internet says Ruston Close but that is based on information running around on internet. Look it up in the big papers that do extensive research.

@@katarsett9384 Did you even take the time to watch the film footage. The street sign reads RUSTON Close. Also the film actually shows 10 Rillington Place in situe so you are wrong, it was not demolished when the road was renamed.
