@@FirstnameLastname-gz8hyFirst off its not the fastest. The word you're looking for would be "quickest" 0-60mph. It's not nesrly the fastest aka top speed. Its not even the quickest in the quarter. Theres a handful quicker. Also it will take perfect DA, with a prepped strip and newer tires and a l8ght driver to run 8.9x. Its not going to happen often at all.
@@FirstnameLastname-gz8hy It's not the quickest quarter mile time dude. The rimac nevera would destroy the demon 170 in any race whether it is a 1/8, 1/4 or half mile...etc. The Lucid Sapphire also will consistently run 8.9x to 9 flat in the quarter which the demon 170 will only run in perfect DA and on a prepped strip with a perfect launch. The Sapphire will do it consistently regardless of DA. There's a handful of other hypercars that run quicker times. You just have your head in the sand. The demon 170 is quick on a prepped strip but it's not the quickest or fastest. Even the Plaid can have 156mph trap speed in the quarter.
@FirstnameLastname-gz8hy Dummy, again, you're wrong. It doesn't trap faster than many cars, and its top speed is not even close to the fastest. Just give it up, brokie.
Crazy how the demon 170 ran slower than the claimed times from the old demon. They over shoot that number for sure. In the best perfect conditions maybe but when you advertise a number it should be achieved constantly not a unicorn run.
So just like the Plaid 1.99 0-60 time then that was achieved on slicks on a prepped track (let us not forget they cheated to get that number by subtracting initial rollout :3)
I know people can't just look it up so here's two videos of demons running 8s ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4kZY_mRQG3s.htmlsi=Eqk0upP7vMJq1UNp ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UV4YsemwGAQ.htmlsi=E_lkdHnb_xN4ZL9j
@@stayslept6410they did, but I believe they ran drag slicks and removed a bunch of weight. Its not considered "stock" anymore if you put on slicks and removed a bunch of interior pieces. Now if it came from Dodge with slicks and removed interior, we wouldn't be having this discussion
@@02hockeystick19 hellcats, demons and the 170 are slow cars and my 0 to 60 probably less than 3 seconds 2.5 to 2.8 a stage 1 n54 tune destroyes hellcats
@@trader-matt That’s called a modified car. This is a bone stock car. Let’s modify the demon with equivalent modifications and a solid tire and see what happens to your cute little car
@@02hockeystick19 a 170 had a some triple 8s and still could go under 3 seconds them boats slow on the road. Adding more hp is going to make that bad transmission brick slower
@@voodoodiecastSo what? Almost nobody at the drag strip runs stock tires because tracks don’t like street tires. The plaid didn’t get its 1.99 0-60 (let’s not forget they used the cheaters method by subtracting initial rollout to achieve that number) on stock tires either to my knowledge
@themuckler8176 When I take my Buick to car shows people swarm to come over and look at it. No body gives a shit about a 200k thousand dollar over priced hunk of Dodge shit.
@JSUMO392 all I know when I take my little 6 cylinder to car shows no body is swarming these slow dodge challengers and chargers like they do my car. Hell I even had a sign made I put up in front of my car that says BUICK EATS DODGE DEMON 170'S and it pisses them all off. So the guys that get pissed are the slow Dodge guys. 🐌 I guess I would be pissed if a little old 6 cylinder from 1987 was whooping my ass to. Lol 😆
And then they go complain about how bad the car was built. Reading comprehension falls short on so many and what’s funny about that is those people are some of the most arrogant in the car scene or on RU-vid. Wild!
Reaction time has nothing to do with your overall time. The clock doesn't start until the car moves. You could sit there for 30 seconds and your time would be the same.
@ZennyOG Of course they were going off of the tree. Doesn't matter. Reaction time doesn't affect your time. The timer doesn't start until the car starts moving.
@fleeshawn11 ya it's not gonna run 8s. It's not even close. They should have just said it will run 10 flat, get better publicity when it running mid 9s.
Lmaoo dodge has always been known for exaggerating their numbers unless conditions are 100% perfect neither demon stock is getting no where near 8’s can’t even touch a model S Plaid.
@@eddiearchuleta615 I mean the car can literally outrun supercars 😂😂 we all know u can make horsepower for cheap, I could go buy a busa and outrun your car for under 10k so whats your point...I just dnt understand u guys that always want to point out the obvious, we all know u can buy incredibly cheap cars and mod them... doesn't change the fact that you have to mod your car to reach what this car does straight off the showroom floor
@@stevealsip3045Sure once for every 1000 passes it makes. It wont be running 8.9s 99% of the time. Its more of a mid 9s car for most decent runs. Youll see mid to high 9s in okay DA on the strip. On the street this thing wont do close to that either.
The 2018 Demon in left lane ran a 10.10 I believe and the Demon 170 in the right lane ran a 9.50, both seem to be about a half second slower than the claimed times. I’m sure both drivers could go faster, the da was high that day for November.
@@Charlesbjtown y’all do realize they tested these cars in warm weather and got the same numbers right??? the vehicle they tested was a fully strip down variant, no driver seat, carbon wheels, and multiple passes…. I witnessed a preproduction 170 run those advertise numbers down here at no limit raceway in Louisiana last summer in its test phases.
@daniel504_8 I'll believe it when I see it. In the video they released, I seen them wearing winter jackets. And they tested the '18 demon in very cold weather..... below sea level.... and with a skeleton of a driver. Am I wrong?
