I think it’s important to remember that the demon 170 isn’t really a “demon”. The sticker says that it is a Dodge Challenger SRT redeye and in the options list there is a “demon 170” package. Banks are refusing to finance these things because they don’t see the value. Insurance company companies are refusing to cover these things because they don’t see the value either. It’s gonna be really hard for us to sell any of their cars.

I found one for $118k with I think 580 miles on it, but it was white and no one wants a white one they want the orange or yellow one. 😁Quick note, it was a 2018. The guy that was from Dodge on the Jay Leno channel said they did the sun roof at 10k to try and get people not to get it oddly enough.

You would have to be a real kind of special to spend that kind of money on a vehicle..... especially a Dodge. Amazing that they're already having problems with the motors blowing up. It's almost as bad as current day Ford

@@ManiacalManiac I'm actually a huge Ford fan. Have loved all their vehicles up until mid-2000s. But Ford definitely has major problems these days and from what I'm hearing they're pretty much having more recalls than anyone. The sad thing is all companies are making overpriced junk these days , and people keep paying for it. I will always keep my good old steel built vehicles .

As far as rarity and price go, remember that Edsel’s are rare too. I would buy a stock Challenger, then bolt on the parts to make it a “tribute car”. Then you get exactly the same car for a lot less, and you can race it like you own it.

11 engines went bad on them some utubers said that the engine has a oil sending problem and if the word comes out to the public that the engine is bad the valve will drop more so a lot of utube people are selling their cars

A direct quote from Dodge when asked about the cost of a Demon 170 sunroof: "A sunroof goes against the ethos of the vehicle, but we are making it available for customers who truly desire one. For those customers choosing a sunroof, it will not come cheap" In addition, I recall hearing Tim Kuniskis say the carbon fiber wheels were more expensive than the charge on the window sticker, so they expected a ceratin percentage to opt for an overpriced sunroof to offset the cost. I can't find a link to his statement, but he explained it just as I stated. The formal response from Dodge makes more sense since a sunroof isn't really a good idea in an eight second car.

I cant fathom why anyone would spend this kind of money on one of these cars when there are better cars for a tiny fraction of the cost. Put 100k into a WRX and youd have an incredible one off car that could compete with anything. Boggles the mind.
