So, continuing the tradition of chosing people's suggestions, favorite songs or whatnot for the special vids:
A friend sent me a link to original music track a while ago.
At first I was like - wow it sounds pretty good.
But then I was like - omg I love it, imma cover it and throw it here as the special vid!
And here it is.
I really like it.
Instead of my usual style, this time I used the cold, frostbitten, mainly-minor guitar chords to set the grim atmosphere.
Next special at 28k.

@Andoc You were right. She is actually the source of the plague. She was corrupted by the Demon Soul she held in her hands smiling at it, and everything she touched became corrupted probably even her bodyguard. Physically she remained the same, but she was twisted and the monsters worshipped her because of that.

@@ShutoStriker Incorrect, the game explicitly notes that people go out of their way to offer their souls to Astraea, which turned her into a pureblood demon. The Valley of Defilement always existed because people threw the diseased/dying people and abandoned babies into there. Her Bodyguard completely proves this, they abandoned the church once they discovered the truth but they didn't abandon the abandoned. She doesn't even defend herself.

Spaced92 Thank you! Somebody who actually knows the lore and isn’t spreading misinformation. She and Garl had seen the plague infested land of the abandoned and utterly abhorred the fact that no one would help them, leading them to realize that their god never existed, if one such being would ignore such suffering and allow it to persist. She would then care for them in its stead. The recurring delusion of the devout in Demon’s Souls is that they’re all tricked into believing that magic comes from their god, but in reality, it was all sourced from the Old One. If there even was a god, it had abandoned everyone long ago. Astraea and Garl genuinely cared about the infested people their “god” and the rest of the devout turned a blind eye to and left down there to rot away. We were the true demon that deprived that land of their comfort and potential salvation.

Bruh, you have no idea how many times I've listened to this and how many times it has given me creative inspiration year after year. The Astraea encounter is the most charged moment in the 7 game series for me, and having this metal mix of the theme has just done things for me, haha. It just occurred to me that it's good for the creator to know when they make an impact.

This track is awesome no doubt. but still i cant hear it without a very bad feeling in my stomach. killing her back in the day just felt wrong and still does. i even searched for another way to save her and her guardian. all in vain....
