@@AshenOneGaming I’ve died and replayed the first stage of the mines so many times I’m getting pretty good at flanking and stabbing everyone in the ass. Lol Gotta love the stabbing animation on tall enemies.

@@AshenOneGaming It is, you can do this very early on in the game as well because the soulray is very effective against these flying enemies and they give you a lot of youl. Even in 4-1, there are not that many of them but each gives you about 500 Souls iirc so it's worth and at the time you're stron enough to fight thoese Skeletons you're definietly strong enough to kill the flying Mantas as well ;-) For those who haven't fought them yet, beware of their projectiles. You can carefully lure them - get close enough, they will react if they see you and start an attack animation. As soon as they lift up cast your spell, they are about to fire at you. After your spell is cast, immediately roll sideways (beware of cliffs) so they can't hit you. Sometimes (if not killed and you're close) they shoot a second time immediately, just watch out, they do hit hard! Killing them is however absolutely worth whenever you see one ;-)

@@AshenOneGaming I think so but havent really looked at the numbers so far. tbh there are so many things that seem to affect the ammount of souls you get I haven't tried to understand it lol. The more the better but I honestly don't care if I get +/- 200 at my current SL because ... yeah

@@AshenOneGaming Thank you! I only knew about PBWT 4-3, which took up so many fresh spices, the PBWT 3-3 seems way more viable! Will be trying it out!

@@AshenOneGaming very true! this is THE best place to farm. Since the mindflayers take so long to cast the spell, it gives me plenty of time to use the soulsucker. One time we both died at the same time, and the soulstain is in the throne room! so you'll never lose your souls to dying! Sometimes with the BP skellies, they would turn around and 1-hit KO. I'm getting 33K for 5 seconds or less (I literally run towards them) in NG+5 or 6 (forgot which cycle I'm in lol)

Just pop thief ring on. Go down to Old Hero. Snipe him with magic and then you can kill storm king boss.really easy and then farm that area for loads of souls

I actually had a setup where as soon as I loaded the area a projectile would hit me and immediately put me in hypermode! It was awesome. I used soul arrow then to pick off the flying enemies, was great!

World tendency probably changed. Closer to pure black the higher the souls drop :)

@@AshenOneGaming that’s just the thing, I had the Graverobber’s ring on! :o I think I figured it out though, the BP will always turn to the right to face you. Sometimes I would accidentally shift my character to the right, which causes him to cast it sooner. Keeping to the left, he only has time to face me before he dies. Hasn’t happened to me since lol

You’ll have to go into NG+ (New game+) and get another in that play through :)

Ng++ has way smaller jump in difficulty than going from ng to ng+

You need ‘Soul Thirst’ mate. A spell that increases soul gain as shown in vid :)

nope. which is why if you want to keep your world tendency white, you should die in the nexus as soon as your body returns then continue in soul form

Well can you take these enemies down with melee easy? If so, all your missing out on is the soul thirst for an extra boost of souls gained. If you can sprint through cutting them down it could be even quicker 😀

Are you sure you are close enough to them? Honestly, with soul sucker you have to be really, really close to the enemy

Sl125 is optimum for PVP it seems :) if you are using a password you can pvp or co-op at any level with any level :)

Yep, I remember this from the original game in 2009. There is also a trick you can do with The False King boss to basically reach max level and 99 all stats in only a few minutes. But, after receiving feedback, people seemed more interested in farming methods that weren't exploits to quickly max out. So I've decided not to include any :D You should definitely put a vid for your channel though!

yeah it's just so fast and effortless, you can do/watch other things etc whilst just mindless farming :D

It could be higher. I'm on NG++ and used the 4-3 farming method and got around 77k souls for the dual-katana black phantom and around 33k souls (without soul thirst active) and around 41k souls (with soul thirst active) for each of the 2 other black phantoms so similar to what you see in the video.

I had 40 mag and 40 int

Either will work but for the best soul gain ng+ as souls are increased

A year on i know yet did u figure it out ? i think it's down to if ur pure black cause that will bag u more souls and are u sure u have all he has stated equipt.

Hey Nick, check the following: 1) You are walking as slowly as possible 2) you have the Graverobber ring equipped 3) Your catalyst to cast spells is in your right hand! This is really important range-wise

You don't need to cast on the right hand. I'm casting with my left hand and it works. You need the graverobber's ring.

You in your first play through? Also is the world tendency at pure black? This vid is all about NG+ which you get more souls for as well as having the pure black world tendency with the ring of avarice, silver bracelets and soul thirst for maximum soul boost 💪😊

Someone else had this problem a while ago mate. Make sure catalyst is in the right hand. Seems to work lol
