Demon's Souls World-/ Character Tendency Explained - EASY GUIDE 

Coming from the Soulsborne games, I found this world/character tendency stuff tremendously confusing. This video, however, makes it all so simple and easy to understand. And it’s concise too. Thank you so much for your work here! Liked and subbed.

Recently started watching your guides. I just gotta say, whenever I find myself hopelessly stuck or confused in Demon Souls it's great to hear your cheerful voice explain what I need to know. It makes me feel better about having to look stuff up. haha

i played dark souls/bloodborne/elden ring many times playing demon souls just hits me and makes me feel brand new to the game again,,, i like a challenge and understanding new things

As a souls and FromSoftWare veteran, played every game except demon souls, this concept is pretty alien to me. Good job explaining but currently I still feel like I'm in the middle of an acid trip.

Awesome. You are great. Loved this game. Was nervous it be too tough. Glad I got it! Old monk is kicking my ass on ng+. On reg game was easy. Everything reversed on ng+ for difficulty for me. Flame lurker I beat 1 play with ng+.

soo… about world tendency i can easily go to pure black when ever i want it by dying in human form. But i can only go to pure white by killing bosses and invaders? So am i limited in pure whit tendency if i play offline for example?

(In Soul form) So I can die as many time as I want trying to beat a boss? And still get white tendency?

I have already killed all 3 bosses in Stonefang (my first playthrough, killed them without any knowledge of world tendency), it's still not pure white yet. Is there anything I can do to pure white at this point without starting a new character?

If I already beaten the bosses would I have to go into NG+ to get a better world tendency?

If I died once in 4-1, can I still get pure white by killing the 3 standard level bosses? Or do I need to go pure black to achieve pure white? Fextra says each boss is +45% and human deaths are -30%. Accordingly, with one death I should still be able to achieve pure white by killing three bosses. Is this correct? Thanks a million if you have the definitive answer. I’m trying to avoid having to go full black unless I have to.

Does anyone know if killing the maiden in black at the end affects tendency? And does killing the npc phantoms push towards white world or only character?

bruh, there is no way to farm it or something? bascially sounds like if i die in body form once i got to make a new character from scratch if i wanna get to pure white, lol

I died already in every world at least once but every world is still in neutral... can i Get to pure white from pure black or ist white the maximum? Since World Tendency carries over to ng+. Can i fix this in ng+ or am i stuck at white? I am 13h in. Should i start a new Character? Which is faster?

So i was farming souls in 4-2 killing the grim reaper and jumping off a cliff in soul form after maybe 5 times i realized that i got black charecter tendency. Is this a bug or does dying in soul form cause this?

For the invading and helping defeat a boss trophy when i set a private pasword with a friend do i still need to apply the blue stone to help someone out and he a black stone?

Can you replay the fight in 3-3 to change the tendency to white? I wanted to help people to defeat the boss of that area and I was only being summoned as a black phantom by the old monk... Before I realized my tendency was pure black and I dont know how to change it back to white without having to spend 10 hours replaying the game

My character tendency went down from killing bosses as a blue…so i said screw it and started invading for pure black. Why would it go down for helping hosts and not killing blues/hosts as a black phantom?

I don't understand why I can't back to black tendency, I died like 10 times in human form in the same world and still grey!

Hello Loreena, amazing videos, was watching a lot, helped me big time! But, I have little problem with Boletaria, need only +1 to be pure white, already killed all the bosses and dragons, playing offline! Any suggestions? Didn't know anything about those world tendency things :-(

I have no idea why but I’ve been stuck so close to pure white character tendency and it won’t go up to pure white!! I’ve done multiple things that were suggested and killed many of the main NPC Black Phantoms and Old Monk and more. Do you know why I’m one point away from getting pure white character tendency?

You don't HAVE to go back to the Nexus and die but holy heck are you taking a risk of invasions and messing up world tendency if you DON'T go back to the Nexus and die. Not sure if I misunderstood but while trying to help people kill the maneater boss I got black world tendency because the monk boss kept summoning me. I guess that does count as invading as a red phantom though.

Can someone explain to me how I lost world tendency without dying in human form?

For the platinum I only need the stupid Ally ring, but I will need PWCT, been taking out named BP and my CT is stuck in neutral, havent used any spells, magic, fire or bleeding, only my weapon. Have now killed 2 (Miralda & Rydell) and no change.

But why do I have to go to the nexus everytime I kill a boss and then have to kill myself? can't I just go to the next boss in human form and kill it without dying? and still keep the white world tendency?, I know that you have to be really good but sometimes happens.
