Not to mention Rengoku blocking a punch that would've probably taken his head clear off with only one hand (a block made even harder by the way he and Akaza were positioned) and almost forcing his sword through Akaza's neck with only one hand, all of this with Akaza's hand impaled through his torso *and* the other wounds he'd just received.

Rengoku is among the strongest Hashira to ever lived. Not even a question. His mother died when he was young and his father ignored him and called him a loser but he pushed forwards and learned Fire Breathing by himself and created a new form and he was still on his journy to become even stronger! The train and the major fight happened too early for him. Imagine standing up against Akaza while still training to get stronger! He's on another level. The final arc would've been much easier with Rengoku as he could solo Akaza then and help defeting the other demons easily.

Same here dude. I hate that too. Rengoku is among the strongest Hashira to ever lived and Manga people still say Akaza wasn't trying. He didn't even reach his final form. The train and the major fight happened too early for him. The final arc would've been much easier with Rengoku because he would've been able to solo Akaza after finishing his training
