If you carefully look at the arrangement of the buildings when Akaza is flying upwards, you can find a funny easter egg from the animators which says "help, we are trapped in Ufotable HQ. They have our families!" I don't know what it means but it's really cool.

While the intro was not in the manga (I'm a MR), I can tell you Ufotable made it a beautiful and impactful entré. Oh, here's an Easter Egg: if some of the people didn't notice... there's something missing in the entire Muzan and his pimp-ed talking. And one more Easter Egg in the Swordsmith Village. Go find it. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
No, it was released in theaters a while ago along with episode 10 and 11 of S2. This is based off of those cam recordings. Official one should release April 9th
