Demonstrated Engine Failure At Altitude - MzeroA Flight Training 

Always good info Jason! Wick story...Private pilot here but grew up around airplanes my entire life. My dad was an ag pilot..most commonly known as a “crop duster”. Just retired last year with slightly over 12000 hours flying an AT-802. My dads business partner had a son my age and we were best friends..still are. Anyway, we both learned to fly at an early age. We owned a Decathlon back then that had an inverted tank. One day we intentionally flew inverted until the tank emptied, engine shut off, flipped the plane back over and restarted. Definitely not recommended but an interesting event. Just rural Louisiana kids who grew up on a grass runway with apparently more skills than sense.

Excellent demonstration. Most of the time I see the engine pulled back to idle, but I greatly appreciate you shutting it down and showing us how to restart in the air.

Greeting to MzeroA, I notice there isn’t much on Minimum for take off, landing or cruise. This was mention in the King Air Incident.

Since many fatals are the result of losing the critical engine on takeoff, a takeoff simulation at altitude would be useful information to convey to those who pilot the twins. There is only a matter of seconds to react properly to avoid the disastrous results.

Yep, that's one of the nice things about flying a relatively newer and more powerful twin. Those of us who fly much older Seminoles on a regular know it'll take a lot more effort in many cases to get that engine started again 😂.

What would cause an engine to fail in a manner that it could be restarted? If an engine fails mid-flight, is it more likely that the engine will be permanently out of commission?

You should of check the fuel pressure before the start.
