Many moons ago, my first real amp was a behemoth sized Peavey Series 260 Head and a 412M with aluminum cone capped Pyle Driver Speakers. It made for a good blaster rig, plus it impressed the party girls back in the day. Rock and Roll !
Mine an original peavey classic 2x 12 with phaser and distortion . 1981 or so. Cranked out echoing into the cornfields of Lancaster county Pa . My first run throughs of smoke on the water and paranoid . My first “ concerts “ lol Rock on!
@@j.reveille6815 I have a massive peavey 2x15 bass cab from the late 70s that's built like a tank and sounds amazing, I'll probably never get rid of it b/c they just don't make 'em like that anymore
And just because someone famous joked about using it it all blew out of proportion and now we have a $300 pedal that cost $10 to recreate an amp nobody cared about
I run my stereo delays, verbs, and modulations off two solid state Quilter Superblocks. I run my unaffected clean or dirty signal to a Benson Nathan Junior down the middle. 3 speaker/3 cab rig. I use an EHX mixer pedal and a TSL Stereo imager to run my w/d/w lines.
Excellent sounds from that pedal! The looks are nearly perfect 1980s, except that the Post knob needs to be blue, and the EQ settings are difficult to see, here. I have a Peavey Decade and the Normal input is beautifully clean. The Saturation input is very brash and hard, so it could be good for punk or metal, but not for me. The Preamp Out to my combo sound is wonderful.
Wicked. Very impressed w/this pedal, especially that it can run straight into a cab. Good to see your handsome face in these ugly days. Much love, hope you and the family are well my friend.
Until I see a price announced for this, I'm afraid I'm going to have to go with " Why not just buy a small Peavey practice amp for 100 bucks or less? I noticed while looking for a price on the pedal that Peavey Decade amps have been driven into ridiculous prices, no doubt by the connection to Homme, but there is the Backstage, Audition or Solo that are all the same tech as the Decade, for 90 to 120 bucks, new.
Peavey equipment from the 70s and 80s was and is rock solid. In 1982 at 16, I bought a Backstage model new at the local music store. $150.00. played it for years. Moved up. Gave it away to someone just starting guitar. The problem is, something at this point WILL go wrong with the original amplifier and good luck getting it worked on or getting parts.
@@jamespatrick3462 Yes, but I was talking about Peavey models like the Decade that are still available brand new, right now, for 1/3 the price of this pedal.
My first amp was a Peavy Bandit, I think a 25 watt or something like that. Sold it to a friend way back, who’ll never part with it, and I super regret getting rid of it.
joke was a bit lost with your spelling error, but i gotta tell ya, i can’t change my voice. i’m sorry it offended you enough to point out. bummed me out.
@@DemosInTheDark it is not your voice... it is the IQ on it.. equalization so scooped with no mids... the ears almost hurt... or maybe it is just me...
