Think that uncut version was aired during the two 35th anniversary re-runs this year. ITV4 and Forces TV.

There are organized - "with their own logic", and disorganized personalities, who are impulsive. Don't take your understandingof abnormal psychological traits from movies, youtube, orcommenters.only formal education in the cognitive disciplines will give you a coherent map of disorders. There exists online, however, inventories, well-developed questionnaires, through which one may evaluate general position on the spectra of disorders.

This is one of those eps that would have benefitted from being a two parter. They couldn't fully do justice to the subject matter in a single ep. That being said, this ep was pretty well done. It was dark, atmospheric and creepy. The scene with the tape recording (and subsequent scenes showing a radio appeal and SI10 officers fielding calls) were presumably based on the infamous Yorkshire Ripper tape and subsequent publicity campaign.

Joanne Smith It was *very* well done. It worked fine as a single hour. What could they have expanded on to make it a two-parter?

Strange that you say that about the Yorkshire Ripper. The scenes with the tape recording and the radio appeal reminding me of that time too. I was only a kid when Peter Sutcliffe was running rife, but this has a nightmarish quality to it that reminds me of those times. One of my favourite episodes to be sure.
