My understanding is that voodoun is not a religion, it is a spiritual philosophy and practice similar to Taoism or Buddhism. Demonized precisely because its power was clearly understood and it challenges all the tenets of the Eurocentric worldview. Proud of Benin’s role in elevating their spirituality and THANK YOU for spotlighting the role of voodoun in tormenting the emancipation of black people in the new world!
