Yes, actually when we add the self join for path. Its duplicate the data. So if you show the sum only then you will have double value and to make it correct we have to divide it by 2. I hope I answered. Thanks
Whenever I paste the "Path" data to make the inner join, all I am getting is the "Edit Relationship" window. No option to add join. Tried it at least 10 times, still failing. I am using Tableau Desktop 2020.2.4. Kindly advise?
You should add the Path under Join Mode not the Relationship Mode. Just dubble Click on the First Table it will allow you to enter in the Join mode where you can easily past your data. See this video for details ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z5H2Uv_gahw.html
Without joining. Can we use relationship to join main excel sheet and path excel sheet method in 2020.2 . I understand that you are doing cross join which will duplicate the data.

@@tnagaraj8487 ok, I got it. Actually as per best practices its recommended to prepare your data first before you consume the data for dashboard. In many cases all the problems like performance issue will be managed at database level. Here is the details about how to manage performance recording at tableau level. help.tableau.com/current/pro/desktop/en-us/perf_record_create_desktop.htm But as i say, Its recommended to prepare data first before you consume it on your dashboard to avoid performing issue.
