I have attended a lot of master classes. Many were useless. This is a good Teacher. Not all masters are good teachers. He really cares and it shows. Manuel Barrueco is a master but not at teaching master classes. John Marlow was not a master performer like the top 10 but was a master with Classes and the same with Alice Artz she really cared about your time to perform during all day master classes.
It's amazing how much better the student improved as they talk through it. At about 16 minutes into it when he the student was asked to play it again it sounded a hundred times improved. Balanced, professional.
Kinda shocking how good this teacher is. I mean I just left my current teacher because he was inadequate but this guy here as soon as he unleashes the first note you know he means business.

It looks like Interlochen has dropped the Classical Guitar Workshop from it's summer program I have attended several of these and they have always helped me improve my playing Interlochen is hosting the Finger Style Workshop this summer 2016 I will probably attend
@@wilfreddamon1971 It's not even rumoured he wrote it in his method. More or less said that with the exception of Aguado he'd never heard a guitarist who's sound was bearable when playing wiht nails.
Denis, these are a gold mine! I haven't even started to try this piece yet, but applying your words to other pieces is always apt. Being conscious of phrases vs measures is something I also need to be careful of and have noticed as a bad habit starting in my playing. I just wish you had a bit more micing for the voices. This guy is a serious learner and I enjoyed hearing what he had to say. I think I will start this one after I polish up the HVL Etude 1. Lovely little melody.
because teaching is about giving. i'm not religious, but who and why would one deny a person of a spiritual education... the same goes for music.... we as teachers cannot only teach the best... we have an obligation to teach all genuine earnest students..... a genuine teacher only requires that the student is genuine... the level is irrelevant..

Yeah, tone and rhytm are the most important things to me too. I am taking pictures from my fingernails ( I have very curve and thin fingernails). It is very hard to nail them I have to do it with microscope ha ha... I know this song and it is good to make floating feeling to it. It is good to sing melody same time when play this. Beautiful and simple song. Nice teaching like this.
