When I visit Europe, I gathered Deaf furs together and made a video!
Our sign language is different, just like oral language. We learned each other a lot and we had a great time!
We figured to show you the basic of our sign language. Hope you enjoy watching it!

There is one...it's ISL But weirdly the info about it is not very big...the Wikipedia page for example is quite brief about it.
@ellaynamorris6154
@ellaynamorris6154 5 лет назад
ISL ... or Gestuno... is NOT an international language. It isn't even a language. Gestuno combines many of the most popular signed languages in the developed world to create a way for Deaf individuals to more easily travel internationally. But please do not buy into the "its a language" stuff... what is the international hearing language?? Did you know technically there is one of those too? If you search international language in a search engine, one website will say French, one says Spanish, others say English...

I have recently started learning Brazilian Sign Language, and I am amazed at how similar it is to ASL. Apart from the numbers, there were a good deal of signs by the American fellow that I could easily recognize. The numbers from 5 onwards are completely different in BR Sign Language, though.

I really would like to have saw this with each person signing their version individually, one by one, so i could better appreciate and take note of the variations in sign for each word. The whole thing was too quick for me. lol ! However I do love the concept! I would definitely watch again if y'all could remake this or another version with each country signing one by one instead of simultaneously. Awesome concept, awesome video! 😊

@Jay also funny when Daniel Durant (the deaf actor from CODA movie ) went to Norway to do a play, he said the Norwegian sign language was more expressive and they use their face mimicry so much, unlike ASL. which I thought was weird since it's frickin' freezing half of the time and they're always outside and still somehow their mouth and fingers aren't frozen to make big gestures ? I thought it was the other way around, which would make more sense. 🤔

It is not at all one language. Each country (or sometimes region) develops their own sign language. They are all different signs, with different corresponding grammar. It would be like saying a person who speaks Spanish should be able to speak Portuguese as well, just because they happen to sometimes have similar vocabulary. They are not all mutually intelligible as one language with different dialects
