And he was right. Everyone knows Marley was more famous, more popular, more successful, had more hits, (arguably) produced better songs, and was just generally a worldwide phenomenon, an icon, and the epitome of reggae to most people in the world. But he didn't have Dennis' amazing voice, and hats off to him for not only acknowledging but publicly admitting it. I suppose he had nothing to prove. But tunes like this really showcase Dennis' ludicrous talent. Gone too soon xx
Me faz lembrar de minha São Luís do Maranhão do início da década de 80. Eu era criança e ouvia os mais velhos falarem que reggae era música de bandido e isso me destruía por dentro, pensava assim... "Como pode uma música tão bonita ser do mal?". Mesmo assim nunca deixei de ouvir e gostar. Hoje, homem feito, pai de família, servidor público, bacharel em direito, sei que errado eram as pessoas, o reggae é uma benção!
